About: Power Rangers Lost Galaxy (1999) is the seventh official Power Rangers season, being the American counterpart to the 22nd season of the Japanese Super Sentai 'Seijuu Sentai Gingaman'. The show aired in February 1999 on the TV channel Fox Kids. Power Rangers Lost Galaxy was the first season of  Power Rangers to not have any previous Rangers in the main cast, with a brand new team of Rangers. One thing that differs this season from all others is that the Lost Galaxy Rangers had no official mentors at any moment in the show because this season was the beginning of a new era, an era in which Zordon would no longer be the Rangers' mentor, since his death in the Power Rangers In Space episode "Countdown to Destruction". This season also differs from all others in the fact that it was the first team to have a Ranger killed, this is because Kendrix's actress, Valerie Vernon, was diagnosed with Leukemia and had to stop acting in the show to prioritize her health, the creative team then decided to "kill off" her character, though Saban continued to pay the actress to help with her treatment and eventually they brought her back in the season finale for Kendrix to be brought back to life.
