About: Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue (2000) is the eighth official season of Power Rangers, being the American counterpart of the 23rd Japanese Super Sentai series 'Kyuukyuu Sentai GoGoFive'. The show aired in February of 2000 on the TV channel Fox Kids. Even though this season isn't as famous as the previous season, or the ones that came after, Lightspeed Rescue was a really well-scripted season of Power Rangers, having a more mature look than some other seasons. One thing that differentiates Lightspeed Rescue from the other ranger teams is that this season, all rangers have actual jobs, and aren't in high school like many other rangers. Also, this team isn't formed by a supernatural being/alien mentor (like Zordon), a governmental organization picked this team of power rangers, and trained them to be their city's super soldiers. As said previously, this season has a more mature look, since its villains are demons, and at the time it was released that wasn't considered "appropriate" to the targeted audience (children around the ages of 5 to 12).
