“Sprinkles!” Charlie yelled, feeling tears begin to form as he closed his eyes. Nick quickly stopped what he was doing, looking down at his boyfriend. “Was I to rough?” He asked softly, not wanting to make the other anymore nervous than he already seem. Charlie shook his head a bit, grabbing the blanket beside him and covering himself up. “I just, I— I don't think I can do this right now..” Nick laid down beside his boyfriend “Thats alright, can I hug you?” Charlie turned around, hugging Nick. He felt tears begin to form once again. “I-I'm really sorry.. I want to d-do this I really do I just, I can't—” He sniffled a bit, wiping his face with the blanket. “I'm sorry..” Nick gently placed his hand on his partners cheek, wiping away the tears. “Shhh shh.. don't be sorry Charlie, theres absolutely no reason to be... I promise you, I understand. I would never want you to do something if you weren't ready yet.” Charlie sniffled one last time before he calmed down, nuzzling into the others shoulder and taking in his comforting scent. Nick began to rub circles onto Charlie's back, humming. “Would you like me to make you some coco?” Charlie nodded slightly in response. “Mhm, that sounds nice..” Nick let go of the other, kissing his head before getting up. He grabbed Charlie a pair of Pj's after he put his boxers on, setting them on the bed. “Here hun, they even have little puppies on them!” He smiled a bit. Charlie smiled back, sitting up with the blanket still wrapped around him. “I'll be back in a bit, I'll get Nellie to come keep you company while I'm away!” With that Nick was off to make hot coco, and Nellie was on her way to cuddle with Charlie.

After about 10 minutes Nock returned with a mug of hot chocolate, along with a plate of sugar cookies. “My mum made the sugar cookies a few days ago, they're so good.” He placed the plate beside Charlie who was now laying down on his side, with Nellie laying against his legs curled up in a small ball. He placed the mug on the stand by his bed, grabbing a sweater from his door and slipping it over his head. Nick than sat down on the ground beside the bed, looking up at Charlie. “Are you feeling any better?” Charlie immediately nodded, smiling slightly “Yeah, I am.. Thank you for being so understanding Nick.” Nick grabbed a cookie “Open up?” He more asked than demanded, not wanting to force him into anything. Charlie opened his mouth. Nick placed the cookie in his mouth, sticking his tongue out. “You don't need to thank me for that, you deserve everything in the world. And one of those things is to be listened to and have your feelings taken into consideration by others, so there's absolutely no need to thank me for that.” Charlie let out a long whine “But I wanna thank youuuuuu..” Nick leaned close to him, gently booping his nose “As I said, you don't need to thank me for treating you like the prince you are. Your amazing. You deserve to be treated as such.” Charlie blushed a bit, looking to the side. “It's true though, your a fantastic person—your thoughtful, sweet, brave. Your amazing Charlie.” Charlie could feel himself begin to blush, butterflies flying around in his stomach as he tried to hide the fact that he was growing flustered by the others words. Nick laughed slightly, then going quiet. “I have a question though, why exactly did you use the safe-word? If I did something wrong, I want to make sure I never do it again—I'd never want to make you uncomfortable, ever.” Charlie sat up, grabbing the mug and taking a small sip of the hot coco. “It wasn't your fault, I just couldn't handle it.. I got insecure, and uhm... I just mentally couldn't do it in that moment I guess.” Nick listened, then nodded. “I understand a bit better now, thank you love.” He leaned over, resting his chin on the edge of the bed and looking up at Charlie. “Your amazing, you know that right?” Nick continued to look up at the other. “Your such a fantastic person. Your so thoughtful, your so determined to make everybody happy. But you already are, simply by being you. And you don't have to feel pressured to do anything in order to make someone happy, because you already make most people as happy as they've ever been.” Charlie could feel himself tearing up as he set his mug down, wiping his eyes. He looked down at Nick, smiling a bit. “You don't know how much you mean to me Nick, you really don't. Thank you. I love you, so so much.” Nick smiled slightly, grabbing the others hand and squeezing it gently. “Well then, we can both fail at showing eachother how much we mean to one another since really there's no earthly way that I can show you how much I'm hopelessly in love with you. I wish there was though. I wish you could be inside my head for just a moment. Then you could see how much I'm in love with you. How I see you. Then you'd never have a single insecurity when it comes to how I think of you.” Charlie was already crying at this point, wiping his face with his sleeve as he tried to calm down. The tears weren't tears of sadness though, he was happy. Happy somebody cared. Happy somebody wasn't afraid to show that they cared. He was just so unbelievably happy. For once he had somebody he could love and care for in a romantic way, who didn't just want him for sex or to have closed off make out sessions in the library while having no social life outside of that. He had somebody who didn't show him off like a trophy, but also wasn't afraid to be seen with him. For that he was so grateful, one of the most grateful people in the world. But so was Nick, because in his eyes Charlie was the most amazing person in the world. And absolutely nothing could change that.
