"So you're telling me, that the Walnut cookie, daughter of Mr. 'I hate all wizards' wants to learn spellcasting?"
Dispite Creme Puff looking quite excited the cookie across from her shied away.
"Well, when you phrase it like that it sounds bad-"
"Nope! I am your teacher now, so I'm legally not allowed to hinder you research, right?"
Walnut smiled and laughed. But the brunette yelped as the witch dragged her to the kitchen. Here they'd have all the basic needed ingredients for a beginner.
"Well what do you wanna know? I'm practically the best in my class, I can teach anything!" Creme praised herself, dispite the fact that Walnut knew about her failing magic history grade. But who likes history anyway?
"Puff-"
"Y'know one time I basically saved earthbread by myself, because Miss Latte doesn't count, she's done with her teaching me days. Because I-" the blonde happily rambled more, geez, and Walnut thought she got talkative on her special intrests.
"But anyways, I'm really good at working with jellies, so you can start with that!"
The witch quickly looked in the fridge and pulled out a bag of basic blue jellies. Latte probably wasn't going to be too happy with them missing.
"What do you mean?" The junior detective asked, in response Cream Puff cocked her head like a confused puppy
"Well what do you mean?"
"I see you swirl jellies around and stuff, but what are they used for?"
The witches lips formed an 'o' with a realization, then panic
"Well uhh, they uhm.. they can heal and stuff? Listen- I'm just gonna let you try and make them hover or something, probably not what you had in mind but we all start somewhere-"
Toddling over to the kitchen island table thing she slapped down the bag of jellies and bolted for another room, coming back with a thick book in her hands.
"Anything else?" Walnut asked sarcastically.
"Nope, now let's get crackin'!" Creme Puff flipped through a ton of pages, they were coated in coffee stains and random sticky notes. Eventually landing on one labeled 'Begginers Inanimate Levitation'
She muttered some incantation, cupping the jelly in her palm.
First a small aura visibly appeared around it, almost immediately after it practically flew out of her hand and swirled around as she moved her finger
"Now, the movement was an extra step, but I'd be good for you to just get it above your hand, even just slightly!"
The jelly fell back onto the table, junior detective picking it up
"So what do I say?"
"Right here, at the top!" The witch pointed to messy handwriting, barely legible as some letters mixed together (who on earthbread hand wrote this extremely thick book!?)
Walnut nodded and recited it as best she could, creme puff recognizing the error a moment too soon, the food violently shaking before exploding with a loud POP
And almost as if on queue the appartment door opens
"Oh Puff! I'm back!"
Latte was not going to be happy.
