It was a week already till I joined the school and I am so happy to be there. Alice stayed with me sometimes and helped me study and I began to wonder how my life would have been if she hadn't shown up.

We met Austin one more time and he complimented me that my eyes are beautiful. Alice was more than confused and I was more than happy. I wish to run into him more often.

I was enjoying myself at school until Mr. Eric's next class. Alice was explaining the figure in Pascal's law that he drew on the board and he suddenly called my name. I slowly stood up.

"Miss Violet, you are disturbing Miss Alice."
"She can't understand what's on-"
"I was talking to Violet."
He said angrily. Alice immediately stopped talking. I began to shiver from fear. My mind began to run to all the possible ways he can hurt me and I can't steady my thoughts.

"Can you explain what Pascal's law is? Just like what is in the text."

What?! How am I supposed to remember those exact words and I knew… that I am done.

"Since you don't know what I have been teaching and you were also disturbing another student that was trying to listen. Detention to you, Miss Violet."

I felt like I froze. My mind went blank and it kept replaying what happened to the students he had given detention before. Murmuring broke out and I can hear a soft whimpering of Alice beside me. But I was so shocked to even say a word.

It felt like time ran fast and dumped me in his detention. Alice was crying and cursing herself that she was the reason. And I wasn't myself in such a position to comfort her. She was thinking hard to help me get out of this situation.

I walked into his classroom and I heard him walk toward me.

"I was waiting for you, Violet. Come, sit"

I stood there because I didn't know how to find a seat without help. He realized it and walked to me. He grabbed my shoulder tightly and guided me toward my seat. I have a paper and Braille about Pascal's law. I have to write it 25 times in my own language of course.

I began writing and suddenly felt a presence behind me. I stopped writing. All I hear is my heartbeat and the clicking of the clock on the wall.

He put his hands on my shoulder and I jumped a little. Then all I could know was the feeling of hot breath on my neck. He was way too close. I was frozen and I couldn't move a muscle. I felt his lips pressed on my neck and suddenly the door of the classroom kicked open. Eric withdrew his hands quickly and walked back. That person who came to rescue me began to fight with Eric and I didn't even move from my seat. I was more than shocked. I was scared.

I could hear Eric's groan from the back of the classroom and that person came to me.

"You are ok. Everything is alright." It was Austin and I just burst into tears. He hugged me close to him. I was still sitting and I was holding onto him as my life depends on him.

He helped me up and we both walked out of the class. I could hear the silent sobs of Alice towards where he was leading me. Alice stood up and engulfed me in a hug. Now both of us are crying.

"I was crying my way back and Austin saw me. He asked where you were. As I said detention he ran to you. I don't know what I would have done to myself if I hadn't met him."

"I know what he has done to others. I just wanted to help."

"I was scared" I admitted and all of us fell into a comfortable silence.

He walked us home and left. I didn't say a word to my parents. Alice did. I am no longer going to school anymore and my parents decided to get me an eye transplant. They have thought about it but we were not financially able. Now my parents want it to happen more than anything.
