Jimin sat in his office, shock on his face after the phone call he had just received. The fire was deliberate?
The officer had asked him to go to the police station as they needed a statement. He couldn't take in that someone wanted him dead, maybe it was just some sicko that liked to start fires and didn't know him personally, yes that must be it he thought.
As he had come into work with Jungkook he was going to call a taxi but then remembered he had left his car at work when he was taken ill. Telling his office manager he would be back soon he left his office and went to drive to the police station.
Jungkook felt anxious after the call he knew Jimin must have got a call also so took the lift down to Jimins floor only to find he had gone out. Remembering the officer had said he needed a statement from him he assumed Jumin had to do one also so he too went to the station.
"Mr Park as you know we told you this was deliberate."
"Yes, do you think it's just some crazed fire starter going around randomly ?"
"Unfortunately not, you were their target."
"Me,are you sure?"
"The downstairs doors were padlocked with a chain from the outside, if you had tried to get out that way you would have perished, people who do things like that are those who have something personal against you, we also found petrol cans thrown in the bushes, the wooden doors and fittings were covered with this then set alight."
"Was there no fingerprints on the cans?"
"No this person knew what they were doing."
"Oh god....., they nearly killed an innocent person besides me!"
"You mean Mr Jeon? Yes it could have been a double tragedy ."
Jimin was more certain than ever that he should get a room away from Jungkook to keep danger away from him.
"What should I do, I don't want anyone harmed because of me ?"
"Well we have no clues at the moment, we can post security around where you stay for the time being and hopefully find something soon."
Jimin was about to answer when a knock came and Jungkook strode in.
"Sorry to barge in but I wanted to make sure Jimin was going to be ok."
"I understand, I was just telling him we can have security around where he will stay."
"He's staying at mine."
"No sorry Kookie not anymore it's too dangerous."
"You can't stay in a hotel."
"I can and will."
"Officer, you think the offender is against Jimin?"
"Yes."
"How do you know? Someone could have been following me and Jimin is just a casualty of that?"
"You are correct sir, at this point in time we have no clues."
"So it would be easier if we stayed together so your security could protect us both in one place?"
"Yes sir it would."
"Problem solved, you stay with me Jimin!"

Jimin blushed and looked away as the officer coughed.
"Ok then, security will be set up at your workplace and your home Mr Jeon, let me do that then you can both leave."
He disappeared leaving the two in the room.
"Are you sulking?"
Jimin pouted," why does everyone treat me like I'm not a grown up!"

Jimin huffed," you should have just let me go to a hotel!"
"But we don't know for sure who they are after."
"Well it was my house they burned!"
"But my car was there."
Jimin realised he couldn't win so shut up. The officer came back.
"Ok then I have set up a detail for each of you they will follow you to work then home, I will be in contact."
The pair left the office Jimin went to his car and drive off noticing a car following Jungkook doing the same.
At work the officers sat by the relevant office. Jimin felt sorry for them it must be boring. He made sure they had plenty to drink and ordered lunch for them, Jungkook doing the same.
Jimin was called out to a firm that had problems with their tech and the officers followed. It seemed very peculiar to Jimin and he wasn't convinced that it wasn't just a random person.
Driving to Jungkooks in the evening he found the other already there. Jimin stopped his car and got out then turning to the officers said," this seems silly that we have you all here, you can go if you want."
"I'm sorry sir but it's our duty, there will be a shift change for the night, two officers will make rounds during the night then the four of us will be back tomorrow."
"Well I sincerely apologise to you all it must be extremely boring ."
"A jobs a job sir, thank you for all the refreshments today."
Jimin nodded and knocked at the door,jungkook answered smiling at Jimin." Hey I forgot to give you a key, here's the spare."
"Thanks, have you felt as weird as I have today, those poor officers must be bored out of their brain!"
"It is weird having someone constantly watching you, I'm just cooking go wash up."
Jimin took a long shower to relieve the stress he was feeling. He dressed in an oversized t shirt and sweats his feet bare.
Going downstairs he saw Jungkook taking two hot flasks outside. When he came in he mumbled, " thought they might like some soup and coffee."
Jimin smiled at him then the two went in the kitchen to eat.
Afterwards they put a film on the tv and sat together on the sofa. It was a scary one and Jimin was soon hiding his face against Jungkooks shoulder. Jungkook hauled Jimin onto his lap, striking his back each time he jumped. A particular sexy scene came in making Jimin blush and fidget on Jungkooks lap." Ah Jimin don't do that!"
