Prompt: Grian and scar unable to sleep after watching a horror movie, but neither will admit the movie scared them.

I'm a sucker for these kinds of oneshots but I've never written one before so here we gooo (plot changes a bit down the line cause i didn't know how to write the prompt exactly but it's more or less the same)

Grian's POV

"Wow" I spoke aloud for the first time since last night, "I actually did that.." I had finally asked Scar if he was free to come 'hang out'. I wanted to ask him on a date but I didn't want to make things awkward so this'll do. I'm surprised he answered my text since it was 3am. I'm just amazing.

I rested my head back on my pillow planning on sleeping as much as I could to prepare for the following day, it was going to be a long one.

Time skip (morning)

I woke up to my phone practically buzzing itself off my bedside table. "Yello?" I answered,
"hey, it's Scar, sorry if I woke you up but can I come over a bit early? Family friends are coming over and I don't really want to deal with that."
"Huh," I thought for a second, "oh don't worry, that's fine!"
"Thank you so much! I'll see you soon!" He paused, "love ya!"

"Did he just-, oh wait I better get ready." I leaped out of bed dashing into my wardrobe. I scanned my closet which was filled to the brim with red sweaters. "Hmm," I thought, "so much variety.. so many options.." giggling to myself I grabbed one and changed into it.

Just as I finished brushing my teeth I heard my doorbell go insane. Din-, ding do-, ding-, ding, ding dong.

Scar POV

I spammed the doorbell, I could tell it was about to rain and I didn't want to stay out in that. Just as my arm got tired, Grian answered. "Scar! Welcome in, sorry I took so long to answer," he greeted me handing over a small cup of tea and sitting me on his couch, "so, we never really planned what we were gonna do.." he finally spoke out.
"aha.. I kinda thought you'd have an idea.." i chuckled, "uhmm, we could watch a movie?"
"Sure!" He started over into the other room but paused at the door, "what kind of movie?"
"Well there's gonna be a storm later on so how about a horror?" I suggested already regretting my choice.

Time skip to when they picked out a movie lol

I watched as the shorter male slid the disc into the player. He sat down next to me, still fiddling with the remote. "One cold winter night", the movie began.

I wrapped my heated blanket around the two of us, realising how close we'd gotten I attempted to back up, failing, of course.

"nO don't go in the basement," Grian began, "that's literally the last place you should go!"
I hadn't spoken a word for the past 15 minutes, my eyes were glued to the screen, the suspense killing me.
