"What a bunch of losers. None of these guys smell like a challenge at all."

Neji was forced to agree with that notion but chose not comment as his teammate had. He almost glared at the competition this year as they piled in the entrance at once. It seemed they all would share this hotel until further notice. Which was great.

Tenten seemed to share his thoughts, leaning on the wall right beside the window. "Seriously, this is the competition this year? I wanted to actually have my weapons used practically."

"I-I wouldn't be so quick to judge." Hinata stuttered as usual, disagreeing with her friends. "T-there's something that I feel off about some of them." When Neji turned to her to see why, he saw that she had her Byakugan activated. He narrowed his eyes before doing the same, and noted immediately that some of their chakra's were heavily suppressed.

'Except that one.' He thought, staring at a petite teen talking enthusiastically with her team. She was most definitely the loudest of the bunch walking into the hotel. Her chakra reserves were large, like a bottomless pit. They reminded him of Naruto's, though hers was a lot stronger and definitely more controlled if she could hide this much of it from his natural senses. 'She must be a Jinchuriki. Like Naruto.'

"Well, I'm curious to find out how strong they are as much as the next guy, but that's not what you called us in here for, right Neji?" Sakura said, a few feet away, sitting comfortably on the bed.

"You're correct." He moved away from the window but not before shutting the blinds. He walks to the middle of the room, standing before his entire team. "I called you all here to confirm important matters. What I was doing just then was making sure no Akatsuki members infiltrated the ranks of the Genin entering the Exams like Orochimaru did 2 years ago. Hopefully, I was able to have confirmation that they hadn't from their chakra, unless of course they have techniques like the Sannin that can enable them to hide it from my Byakugan."

That wasn't easy to accomplish. Hiding something from a normal Byakugan was difficult enough but his Byakugan should've been more than enough to catch anything suspicious and minute. Hopefully.

"Then that means it isn't confirmed." Tayuya stated and Kiba shot her a dirty look.

"You should shut up when no one's talking to you."

"Who the hell do you think you're talking to, dog breath?" She glared at the boy, not liked him since they first met all those years ago.

"You, traitor scum!" They stood up at once and came at each other, nearly bumping heads for not that Rock Lee and Neji came inbetween them. Neji forcing Tayuya back with a single arm and Rock Lee holding Kiba by his waist from behind.

"Calm down! The both of you!" Neji orders but no such thing happens. In fact, it seemed to escalate even further as their resident dog lover seemed to go feral.

"Go, Akamaru!" Kiba ordered. The dog complied almost instantly, skidding past the commotion of bodies and throwing himself at Tayuya with open jaws.

He hadn't the chance to even reach halfway towards the Kunoichi when Sai just appeared in front of him. Somehow Akamaru was able to react that try to bite only to be sidestepped rather easily and grabbed around his ribs, trapping him in a fierce grip that he tried escaping by thrashing around to no avail.

"Akamaru!" Kiba yelled in a panic, trying desperately to get past Lee's iron grip.

'I'm slipping!' Lee noted, his arm barely holding back the Inuzuka head. 'I had no idea he possessed such strength.'

Kiba was a second away from freeing himself when a swarm of insects flooded the room so much that most participants were forced against the walls from the force of them just being ejected from Shino's body. Even Neji was surprised at just how fast it had happened.
