♤ CLOVER'S POV ♤

It all happens so quickly. From above, Clover can see that the army of cake monsters and cone-looking robots starts to attack the cookies near the kingdom gates.

Screams fill the air and eventually a loud bell rings. He looks over to see Princess ringing the bell rapidly in a pattern. That pattern is one everyone recognizes, informing everyone to evacuate.

After ringing the bell pattern a couple more times, Princess lets go of the rope that helps ring the bell and lifts her dress with one hand.

"Let's go help the other cookies!" Princess commands and Clover nods as both cookies run back down to the ground.

When they arrive, they're immediately hit with chaos. Cake hounds are approaching the two, ready to bite off their frail body. Clover takes out his lute and plays a couple of harmonies that he always serenades intending to calm them down.

To his dismay, they grow angrier and one of the hounds attempts to bite off his robe, to which he jumps out of the way. With no other choice, Clover plucks a string which lets out a musical note that stings them.

"You're not the same cake hounds I serenaded, which means you're new." Clover ponders as he continues plucking his lute strings to sting them.

Looking over, he sees Princess fighting off the cake hounds with her scepter, swinging at them and knocking them back.

After the wave of hounds has been wiped off, the two cookies look at each other and eventually their surroundings. The cookies are running away in different directions and some of them try to defend themselves.

"We need a route for evacuation. Any ideas?" Clover asks. Princess hums as she thinks, both are slightly distracted by another wave of hounds which they eventually wipe out.

"There's a lot of exits, but I usually use the one at the back of the castle. There's a reason why no one knows when I depart other than Gingerbrave and Custard!" Princess says with confidence.

"Okay, good to know..." Clover says as he looks over at where the enemies come from. Realizing that most of them came from the front entrance of the kingdom, Clover comes up with an idea.

"I'll block the front entrance so that more won't get in." Clover states, to which Princess nods in approval. "I'll help the other cookies evacuate! I know the exits best after all." Princess smugs as Clover giggles at her.

After concluding their roles, they fistbump and go in their directions, with Clover dashing towards the front entrance through the marketplace.

A bigger cake hound soon blocks his way and he knows that he can't keep plucking the lute strings until it passes out since it'll take forever. The only option Clover can think off is dodging it, which will be difficult to do, but it won't hurt to try.

As it's about to bite him, he jumps backward, nearly avoiding it. Looking over at one of the stands, he ducks and crawls under the table. As soon as he makes it to the other side, the hound starts trying to follow Clover through the same gap under the table, trying to bite him.

Clover scoots away from the threatening attempt, the hound forcing itself to enter the gap to get him to no avail. The hound growls as it tries to step back, to its dismay that its edge is stuck. With the big hound distracted from getting its edge unstuck under the table, Clover jumps over the side of the stand and runs as fast as he can.

He swears that he can hear it break out eventually accompanied by a voice trying to comfort it, but it didn't sound like it's chasing after him. A sigh of relief escapes him as he continues his journey towards the entrance.
