◇ LICORICE'S POV ◇

Dear Diary,
Today is the 4th day of ruling the Candy Kingdom we ambushed a few days before. It's been so stressful. Pomegranate still made me do useless chores and I have to babysit Night Raven now 'cause of "attachment" reasons.

It's giving me UNNESSECARY headaches than what I have rn.

The fact that he barely talks is annoyING me. Poison Mushroom is preferable but still a child. Red Velvet or that bartender cookie would've been a better choice.

Where's

"Licorice!"

He jumps, scattering the neatly placed stacks of paper in front of him to cover his top secret diary, making the already tidy desk into a mess.

The owner of the feminine voice who was standing by the doorway sighed, rolling her eyes, "Our master requires your presence."

Licorice's eyes widen, quickly stands up and walks over to grip the short priestess' shoulders.

"Are you sure?" he inches his face closer to Pomegranate, staring at her eyes intensely.

The action resulted in him getting smacked on the forehead, pretty hard. He hovers his hand over the throbbing pain, contemplating rubbing it.

"Yes, Her words are not to be questioned. Come with me."

Pomegranate turns around gracefully as she leaves the room. Licorice takes that chance to rub his aching head while she isn't looking. He groans when she turns the corner.

"cOmE wITh mee~! Ooo~, I'm such a lapdog~!" he scoffs after whispering the mock, snatching his scythe leaning on the wall at arm's reach.

After closing the door to his room, he huffs and struts to the hallway Pomegranate has taken.

Peeking through, she's already gone. Of course, she is. She'll come waltzing to her side when any word relating to the Great Dark Enchantress Cookie reaches her. No offense to Her, he should've guessed that.

Thinking that he should probably keep up, Licorice walks faster, carrying his scythe so that it wouldn't slow him down as much.

Running down the stairs isn't too much of an issue. Maybe almost slipping on a step through the whole flight down is the worst thing that happened, but luckily no one was watching so he'll keep the embarrassing memory to himself.

Just as he exits the stairwell by opening the door, he jumps back in shock when a cookie appears on the other side.

"WHAT THE-"

Although it's a somewhat familiar face since she's been there for a few days, Licorice can't help but feel like Alchemist has turned into a stranger.

Locking herself in one of the castle's rooms is probably the biggest factor. From his previous argument with Sparkling, the vampire's death is affecting her. But like, he didn't know it was that bad.
