My Scary Life

(Chapter 8)

I was falling, drifting in the black, and the silence. I couldn't feel anything around me, I couldn't hear or see anything either! And yet I wasn't scared, if anything, it was peaceful. Then, it too faded away, I started to feel again, and unfortunately the first thing I had to feel was my aching, and definitely broken, ribs. But I also started to feel something underneath me, it was soft, and tickled my skin. I also felt warmth, but only to my right side. I tried to open my eyes, but that was a bust, it seemed as though not all of my senses were working. But my hearing started to come back, but that brought a whole new world of hurt! My ears started ringing, most likely from the explosion, but OMG that's obnoxious and painful! Once the ringing died down a little, I believe I heard something, was it voices? Yes, yes that's the sounds of others talking! But I still couldn't move!

"Hey, you see that?" I heard one ask, The voice sounded familiar, but I couldn't quite remember. Wait, how did I end up this way? I remember an explosion, and someone screaming, but how did that happen?

"Huh? Wait, I do! It's..."

"Ey!" Both voices shouted, but who were they? And Ey, is that my name? Wait it IS, I'm EyStreem, and those voices, they belong to my friends! I remember Corrupt Steve, I was fighting Corrupt Steve, and I trained with...

"Test Steve and Eve!" I jolted up, practically shouting their names, which only added to my chest pains and headache, with a huge smile on my face, despite my pain. They both looked relieved to see me as Eve handed me a potion of healing, and I slurped it down rather quickly, while my aches and pains faded away.

"I'm glad you're ok, here let me help you up." Test Steve said while offering me his hand.

"Well, well, well, isn't this familiar?" I giggled taking his hand, and he pulled me right up, right up into a hug that is! But I hugged back, relieved that my friends were ok. And Eve holding a strange device clicked a button, but then joined in the hug. Reluctantly our group hug broke apart, then Eve said,
"hey, look at that sunset, it's beautiful." she was right, the 3 of us faced the sunset, watching as the warm sunlight colors danced their goodbye in the sky. It was setting on Corruption's and Corrupt Steves reign and terror, and when dawn finally stretched across the sky, it was the start of a new adventure, with my new found friends, no family. And I can't wait to see what happens next, our next adventure awaits!
