My Scary Life

(Chapter 7)

I charged into the room, it was actually rather empty, except a large walkway that led to a, a wall? Confused, and with nowhere else to go, I tread down the path. As I walk down it, redstone lamps in the ground light my way once I get close to them. As I near the end of the path I saw a dark, floating being. I knew exactly who he was, and readied my bow, preparing to launch the arrow the second he tried anything. "Corrupt Steve!" I shouted, getting his attention, I wanted to see the look on his face when I end him, for all the evil things he did! But when he turned to face me, he was smiling?! But I got a better look at the damage my last arrow did to him. It was embedded in his white eye, only it no longer looked white, more like a white light was shining through the red blood that was poolong out, it was DISGUSTING to look at! I wanted to barf at the sight of it! But that was my mistake, he wanted that reaction from me, because I closed my eyes and looked away for a second, just a second! And he laughed, I looked back up fearing an attack, but instead he flew over to the wall in front of us, where a diamond shaped structure sat on it with a red center. As he got closer to it, the red middle opened up to reveal a compartment for someone to stand within, and Corrupt Steve wasted no time entering it and closing the door. I was confused and slightly lowered my bow, but then the floor, no, the entire room started shaking! Suddenly enormous black corrupt tentacles came bursting through the walls! Before I could properly process the situation one of the tentacles shot forward, but I jumped back just in time to dodge the attack. And fired (finally!) my arrow, it hit the thing and it seemed to wriggle in pain and disappeared! Ha haa so I can beat these things! So with my new found confidence I charged towards the tentacles, and good thing too cause one struck right where I was standing not even a minute ago! But another one was rising up, so to lessen the problems I aimed my bow at it, and I would have shot the sucker if it wasn't for this red laser thingy that shot at me! Wondering where it had come from I look over the direction it came from to notice that the center of that structure, machine was glowing red now! And another 2 lasers were coming for me! I quickly hopped back, and lifted up my right foot before it was hit, only for yet another tentacle to lunge at me! And with my lightning fast reflexes I ducked underneath it and fired another arrow at it, a hit! "Yas!" I shout in victory! But that victory is short lived as a black thendral shoots down and grabs ahold of me, causing me to drop my arrow on the floor, and my bow over the edge! As the tentacles grip on my tightens I make a grab for the arrow, and manage to quickly grab it before the tentacle brings me up into the air, and closer to Corrupt Steve and the machine. All I can hear is my heart racing and my ribs quaking as the tendral tightens its grip around me, and much to my horror the center begins to glow a bright red again, reading to vaporize me! Thinking quick I realized I still had that Matter Gem, and the arrow in my hand! So I quickly slam the arrow into the Tendral and it lets me go, but before I fall to my expected death, I throw the Matter Gem at the red center and the last thing I hear before everything fades away in a blinding lights and suffocating darkness it the satisfying sound of an explosion and Corrupt Steve's dying cries.
