ending 7: Bonten

I predicted that I will be confused when I get back, I understood that many things can happen in three years people change, feelings change, lifestyles change, I get all that but no matter what I think, I can't understand the situation I'm in right now.

things started normal, when I came back I was in a car with Bonten higher-ups ... well, most of them at least since Takeomi and Mochizuki weren't present, I didn't think much of it since that happens a lot when we go on missions, but what seemed weird is that Mikey was there, Mikey normally doesn't attend missions with us and also why is everyone going on this mission, it feels like we are going to war.

the more I thought about all this the more nervous I feel and it seems like someone noticed my uneasiness.

"love, you don't look so well, are you okay?" Koko, who is sitting next to me, said, making everyone in the car look at me, making me feel even more nervous.

I put on the best smile I could master "I'm okay, just a little motion sickness"

"you sure? we can get you back home if you aren't feeling well" said Ran from beside him.

I appreciated the concern but I didn't think we had time to go back if we are on a mission and I won't let them go on such a big mission without me.... who knows what might happen?

"no-no! I just need some air and I'll be fine" I said while opening the car window beside me.

the others seemed convinced and thankfully stopped looking at me, and after a short, while the car stopped, I looked outside and saw the headquarters, OUR headquarters.

were we just going to the HQ?!

I feel stupid and even more confused right now, why did we have a road trip to the HQ? it's not like Bonten care about the environment to not use all of their cars.

I got out of the car and so does everyone else and after less than a second I felt an arm wrapped around my shoulder and a smiling sanzu guiding me to the entrance "let's go my love"

okay, that's weird, in a place where Mikey and I are present I won't be the one receiving Sanzu's attention, and what's up with the endearing terms?

behind us, I could hear some of the other men shouting but the one who seemed the angriest was Koko "Sanzu you piece of shit! it was my Turn!"

but before I could say a word we were disappearing inside the HQ, and when we were alone Sanzu sighed "finally alone with you it's been four days since I managed to get you alone"

I had no idea how to answer that but luckily he wasn't waiting for an answer "not for long though, I bet Koko will seriously shoot me this time" he chuckled.

"Nope, I won't let him" I spoke without thinking making even me surprised, he stopped walking and faced me smiling "look at you being our guardian angel and keeping us from killing each other"

I laughed which made him laugh as well "someone has to do it".

"It had to be you, we won't listen to anyone else" what a simple sentence but it felt way more than that.

I took his hand and started walking once again "well if you don't want to get shot by Koko we better keep going".

after about two minutes we reached my office "so soon" he mumbled "I should tell Mikey to move your office to the other side of the HQ" 

"ehh, don't think that's a good idea" I said " I honestly don't want to walk that much just to reach my office"

Sanzu was going to say something but his phone rang, he took one glance and sighed "gotta go, something came up" I nodded expecting him to leave but instead he leaned and kissed my forehead "I'll see you later my love"
