A month have passed and my injury got a lot better during this month I ended up spending most of my time with Mikey and the Bonten executives, sometimes my executives would visit me as well normally at the times when Bonten is not around it felt like both gangs were avoiding each others or at least some of them.

So it was a rather interesting meeting when Inupi and Draken came to visit me while Koko was there in my room.

It all started with Koko halting in his moves once he saw them entering, then the silence, the awkward silence that lasted the whole meeting, Draken and I were the only ones talking while the other two just sat there averting each others gazes.

That until Inupi spoke "how are you, Koko?"
Koko was caught off guard by the sudden question "huh?... Yea I'm good... How are you, Inupi?
The male gave a small smile "good"
Even though it was the most awkward  interaction in the entire world it felt for a split second that those two were the only people on earth not just in the room, their interaction stopped after this answer and soon after Draken said that they have to go now cause they are busy with the shop, successfully relieving both of them from the awkwardness.

After they both left I turned to Koko and asked "dude, what the fuck was that? Is he an ex boyfriend or something?"
"What? Nooo" he said which didn't convince me at all.
He sighed "he isn't, we were just very close in the past"
"Aand?" I asked waiting for him to continue.
"We picked different leader which lead us to separate, and also another big misunderstanding which made things worse"
"Can I ask what happened?" My curiousity was getting the best of me at this point but I could sense that it wasn't a light subject.
He didn't speak and I was going to change the subject when he proceeded to tell me about Inupi's sister who he used to love before and how she died and that shattered Koko that he was seeing her in Inupi and that what also caused his obsession with money.

"But I moved on from that after a while, it's just Inupi still thinks I see him as his sister" Koko had a sad smile on his face, it made me feel sorry for him.

It must have been hard on both of them to lose a loved one like that and Koko's coping mechanism didn't make it better.
"Well, it's time to convince him then"
"I already tried, it's not working"
"We will try again then? It's sad seeing two close friends being so awkward and besides I work with both Draken and you and I can't function inside this tension"
Koko laughed "well, you do bring us good money, so I guess it's not a bad idea to do this for you"
I rolled my eyes and gave him a mock thank you.

When I'm finally fully healed I knew it was the time.

The time to end Hanma as a threat, it's funny how much I longed for this moment but now that it's here I'm actually nervous.

And sad.

Hanma and I had history together, he helped me through a lot of dark days and maybe in another circumstances I would be the one helping him kill Bonten now.

Maybe if he didn't disappear.

At this point I was starting to feel afraid of myself, what if I get weak? What if I end up joining him? Should I let someone else kill him? Sanzu seems perfect for this mission anyway.

"Having second thoughts?"  I heard Mikey say bringing me back from my thoughts, I was in his office telling him that I'm ready to go into the dungeon for Hanma, he then proceeded to tell me about everything he knows about Hanma that I need to know.

I Shaked my head "I know he deserves to die"
Mikey got up from his desk and stood in front of me, he held my face so I would look at him "you don't have to be the one to do it though, I Know he was close to you, I can tell someone else to do it"
"No!" I said with much force that surprised even me "I think it's better if I do it, also I want to see him... One last time" I gave him a weak smile but Mikey just frowned.

"Did I say something wrong?" I asked.
"He was just your friend, right?" He asked suddenly.
I raised and eyebrow at him in amusement "why? Are you perhaps jealous?"
"What if I am?" He said and it surprised me, I didn't realize he will be this straight forward.
"I..."
"What if I am jealous? Would that make you happy... Annoyed... Would you care?"
"Of course I would care!" I said ".... And yea I might actually be happy" I said in a barely audible voice but from the smirk on his face I could tell that he heard me.

He then surprised me by pecking my lips which made me freeze in my spot "let's go then, if you are so determined to do it yourself let's head to the dungeon now" before leaving the office and me still frozen on my spot.

After a few seconds I came back to my senses and hurried after him "h-hey Mikey! Wait!"

After a few minutes of walking and an elevator trip to the basement of the HQ we stood in front of a high security cell with a heavy metal door, Mikey nodded to the guard making him open the door of the cell immediately, revealing a beaten up and chained Hanma, there was blood dripping down from his head but he didn't seem too phased by it, once he heard the door open he looked at our direction and immediately grinned once he saw me.

"It's good to see you again, Kitten ♡"
