"You still worrying about it?" Andrea asks Lori who looks panicked. "It was a gunshot." She says.

"We all heard it." I say annoyed just wanting to get back to the highway. "Why one? Why just one gunshot?" She asks.

Daryl looks annoyed before speaking. "Maybe they took down a walker." He suggests.

"Please don't patronize me. You know Rick wouldn't risk a gunshot to put down one walker, or Shane. They'd do it quietly." Lori says and we all know she's right.

"Shouldn't they have caught up with us by now?" Carol asks. "There's nothing we can do about it, anyway. Can't run around these woods chasing echoes." Daryl says.

"So, what do we do?" Lori asks us. "Same as we've been. Look around for Sophia, work our way back to the highway." I say wanting to get moving.

"I'm sure they'll hook up with us back at the RV. I'm sorry for what you're going through. I know how you feel." Andrea says from next to Carol.

"I suppose you do. Thank you. The thought of her, out here by herself.. It's the not knowing that's killin' me. I just keep hopin' and prayin' she doesn't wind up like Amy." She says and everyones eyes snap to her. "Oh, God! That's the worst thing I ever said." Carol exclaims.

"We're all hoping and praying with you, for what it's worth." Andrea says.

"I'll tell ya what it's worth- Not a damn thing. It's a waste of time, all this hopin' and prayin'. We're gonna locate that little girl. She's gonna be just fine. Am I the only one Zen around here? Good lord." Daryl says walking away and I scoff before following.

————————————

"How much farther?" Lori asks stopping the group again. "Not much.. Maybe a hundred yards as the crow flies." Daryl says.

"Too bad we're not crows." Andrea says as we all start walking again. Me and Daryl walk in sync at the front.

"You know this reminds me of when I got lost in the woods." I say looking over to him.

He chuckles softly. "Not for long though, your lucky I'm such a great tracker." He says with a smirk.

"Yeah I was so lucky-" I get cut off by a scream and we look back and run to where it came from. Andrea is on the floor with a walker on top of her and before any of us can do anything a lady comes out on a horse hitting the walker.

"Lori? Lori grimes?" The woman asks looking at Andrea. Lori steps forward. "I'm Lori."

"Rick sent me. You've got to come now. There's been an accident, Carl's been shot. He's still alive but you've gotta come now. Rick needs you! Just come!" The lady on the horse says and I don't trust it.

Lori starts to get on the horse. "Whoa whoa whoa! We don't know this girl. You can't get on that horse." Daryl yells from next to me.

"Rick said you had others on the highway, that big traffic snarl?" The lady asks. "Uh-huh." Glenn says looking amazed. "Backtrack to Fairburn road. Two miles down is our farm. You'll see the mailbox name's Greene" She says before taking off on the horse.

"What the hell was that." I say and the walker she hit sits up growling loudly. Daryl raises his crossbow and shoots it. "Shut up." He says and we walk back to the highway.

————————————-

"Shot? What do ya mean shot?" Dale asks frantically.
Glenn sighs. "I don't know, Dale. I wasn't there. All I know is this chick rode out of nowhere like Zorro on a horse and took Lori." He says.

"You let her?" Dale asks looking at Daryl then me. "Climb down out of our asshole, man. Rick sent her. She knew Lori's name and Carl's." Daryl says.

"I heard screams. Was that you?" Dale asks Andrea. "She got attacked by a walker. It was a close call." Glenn says when Andrea doesn't answer.
