CHAPTER 4- I know you're lying

Ever felt like you could get away with a lie?
Well, let's see if Morro could get away with his trick that night...

I stepped down with Ronin's smirk looming over me- seriously, did that guy ever wear another expression on his stupid face?!

''Watch your step", Ronin said as we climbed out.
''You watch yours'', I said to him- for some reason, I just felt pissed off at him.

''Alright, Alright- no need to get all pissed at me- I mean, I gave you a free lift", Ronin said smugly.
''SOUL ARCHER!", I yelled into the air- Ronin's smug smile immediately faded into horror.

''Stop! Don't do that!", Ronin hissed.
I shrugged- it was his choice to be so self-absorbed with himself.

We decided that the Monastery would be equipped with self-defensive weapons and security cameras- heck, they had a nindroid- with him, they could possibly living a whole new dimension.

And so, we settled on going through the roof.
''You are ghost- you can fly up there", Ronin said, keeping his hands on his hips.
I blinked at him.

''What?", he asked exaggerating and shrugging his shoulders.
''I-I am a ghost- but I can't do most of the stuff that ghosts can do. I am not impenetrable to dinosaur bone and I can't fly or disappear", I explained to him.

''What?! Boy, you sure must be living hell right now, kid", Ronin said looking up as I pole vaulted up the wall with a long bamboo stick.

''How the heck did you do that?!", Ronin said as he stepped back.
''I guess I actually spent my life doing useful stuff instead of looking so smug all the time", I retorted back to him- I really should be more kinder than that- a small part of me does say that.

It's because Wrayth was right...I was confused and should've admitted that to myself. Heck, I didn't even know how to defend myself and I was getting weaker day by day.

I didn't need to confess that to anyone- no one actually cared about me- well if you exclude Wrayth. Ronin might be my best chance of anyone saving me if I had to 1v1 Master Wu and nearly got myself killed.

BUT I WISH HE WOULD STOP LOOKING SO SMUG.

Ronin smiled weakly- it almost made me shocked to see that look on his face.
''One day- you'll understand kid", he said wanly.

And so I helped Ronin with lending him a grapple hook hanging around my belt.
''Thanks", he said. I nodded.

I started walking down the roof cautiously- but Ronin just leaped off the tiling the moment his feet touched the roof.

''GERONIMO!", he yelled, which was kind of anti-climatic because the roof of the monastery wasn't that high off the ground.

The blue ninja came out with his mouth smeared in ketchup.
''Ronin?! Wtf are you doing in our monastery?!", he said, widening his eyes and gesturing to Ronin who got himself up and brushed off the dust on his clothes.

''Yeah, Morro's here", he said as if it was the easiest thing to confess.
Jay's face practically looked like thunder wanting to lash out at Ronin (see what I did there? Jay? Thunder? Ahh nevm:))

''No need to-", Ronin began using the cheap casual talk he doe- making the big picture sound so small- in this case I was the big picture and he was making it so casual.

''NO NEED TO WHAT?! KAI'S ALREADY LET MORRO ON THE LOOSE FOR ONE NIGHT AND NOW YOU BRING HIM RIGHT INTO MY HOUSE?!", Jay yelled his mouth going as big as a whale's.

''Stop acting it's like your house lol- it's that old bony man's", Ronin slapped Jay's back.
''Did you just 'lol' me?", Jay said his eyebrows furrowing and his breath quickening.
''Oh hell yes I did- I'm your bud ain't I Jay? Now let me talk to the boss...MORRO!", Ronin yelled.

I front-flipped from the roof, landing neatly (almost) and Jay looked at me with the same 'thunder expression'.

''Right...Right...Calm down Jay...Calm down...'', Jay muttered under his breath hands crossing his heart.
''Yeah show me to Wu", I said- a strange feeling came over me. Now was the time...
''Yeah where is the boss?", Ronin asked smiling like an idiot.
''Stop calling him boss", Jay said.

''Master Wu!", Jay yelled walking into the door.
I looked at the floor and then kept my chin up- one of the things that Soul Archer had said to me: when you aim your arrow, you know the arrow is going to go far and that's because the arrows keeps it chin up and points forward-".

''Arrow have chin?", Ghoultar said (the dumb one as usual...I kinda feel sorry for the guy).
''Shut up Ghoultar", Bansha said slapping her forehead.
''Soul Archer bro- make some sense...arrows and chins? They don't go together...say something useful to the boy- LET'S TEACH HIM HOW TO RIDE A VEN-", Wrayth began.

''No". 
I had turned to Soul Archer- "My point is Morro- stand your ground and fake it till you make it...''.

His words echoed in my brain. That's exactly what I needed to do now- fake it till I made it.
Hopefully I would be good at that and not just act like as if I wanted to revive the Pre-eminent.

''Ahem".
I looked up to find myself face-to-face with Wu. He did not look happy. In fact, he was quite shocked and angry at the same time.
''Explain yourself".

''I want the realm crystal", I said slowly looking at him in the eye.
His eyebrows shot up in the air.
''What on earth for?", he asked frowning.

''I need it to leave", I said- and for some reason my eyes welled up.
''Why are you crying?", Wu asked.
''M-must be grime allergy", I said and mentally shot myself for saying grime.

Who even used that word?

Wu frowned and said, ''Well hope you feel better, Morro- now, where do you need to leave?", he asked.
''Departed realm", I said- if I had said-

''He's lying".
I turned around to see Kai.
"What? No, I am not", I said blankly- my heart was thudding again and I had to grab my chest to stop it from hurting. Wu looked at me with a deeper frown and turned to Kai.

''Whatever is the problem, Kai?", he asked.
''That little brat is lying", I said.
''I said Kai- are you Kai?", Wu asked.

''It would be a miserable life if I was", I smirked at him.
''Master- he want you to eat the Pre-eminent", Kai said.

"..."
''..."

Wtf?

And that's where this story ends- and where we see the last of Ronin.
Hopefully I would work more on the kai x morro moments. I really don't want it go off-track so I will try to speed things up a bit.

Or else this story might end at next-year Christmas- and we'll be here for a long time...

But hopefully that doesn't happen:)
