 Guess who's back? Me:0

Sorry for the late updates. The holidays are here so I find myself sleeping in a LOT. I hope to whoever's reading this chapter that they enjoy it!

"Uhh...Morro? Care to explain what you're trying to do?", Kai asked, scratching his head.
"Something that only my brain seems to comprehend, apparently", Morro roasted Kai.
"Jeez- you don't have to be so cold all the time", Kai said walking forwards but was stopped because of a large, jagged boulder soaring past him.
"..." (Morro).

"I just wanted to know that little trick you always seem to have up against your sleeve. You know- no one can really no what you seem to think of. You are just so unpredicable", Kai smirked.
"You know that's the perks about being the elemental master of wind", Morro said, tapping Kai's nose and swinging his hair sideways he said:

"I get to be unpredicatble to my enemies anywhere I want and anytime I want".

Kai stamped his foot in the ground- he wasn't used to such sassy people doing whatever they wanted. Heck, thinking about it- usually he was the sassy one- or Jay!

"You seem the type to-", Morro began, untucking his shirt casually.
"The type to go around beating up sassy people like you? Heck yea if that's wat you had in mind, boy you are hella right", Kai said rolling his sleeve up.
"Sassy? Me? I think it's the other way round", Morro said.

"HOW DO YOU THINK IM THE ONE WITH THE MOST SASS- JUST LOOK AT YOU! YOU'RE THE TYPE TO GO AROUND ADVERTISING WINE!", Kai yelled.
"Wine?- nah, I am kind of a low-tolerance drinker thankyou very much", Morro said.

He was nearly done with the ginormous stone drill he was making. Kai gulped.
"Are you sure we aren't just going to launch ourselves into the air like idiots and just fall to the floor- like just look at that thing! You aren't really good at using brains are you?", Kai said.
"Shut up, Kai- this is only the beginning. I need to summon someone- then maybe you'll change your mind".

"?" (Kai).

Morro focused on his fingers again, twisting his lean, calloused fingers precisely in a rythm that had been well-practised, as if he knew it like the back of his hand- quite literally.

Tendrils of wind fused together to make first an eye, then two wings sprouted then a long, scaly body. The horns, the scales, the tail, the head and the fangs appeared afterwards.

"An elemental dragon?", Kai asked as he stared at the beast covered in rough black scales with pistachio-green eyes and its pinkish teeth shining in the dark. A cropped mane slid along its neck and its claws gripped the ground.

The dragon istelf was quite unusual, the voice it had was like the low whrum of an engine, or sometimes like the taking off of an aeroplane.

"What else does it look like? A margharita pizza?", Morro asked.
Kai had to refrain from wheezing at Morro's comeback.

"Belladonna, hold that thing over there, girl- it's alright, that ugly thing over there doesn't bite- he just looks the part but has no braincells tbh", Morro said, whispering about Kai who was like a few metres apart.

"HEY! I HEARD THAT", Kai yelled.
Belladonna growled at him, but did as she was told. She picked up the gigantic drill and Morro heaved it up on her back.

Kai winced, "Doesn't that hurt?", he asked the dragon, eventhough all he expected back was a snort or a dragonly scoff, he was shocked by Belladonna's response.

The dragon nodded but pointed her eyes at Morro. A voice clouded inside Kai's head.

"Morro's not just my master and I am not just his elemental dragon either. Our history, our relationship is way deeper, way darker- but I owe my life to him. Morro knows that Ninjago is in danger, and in a few days time it will be peak danger but he isn't telling anyone. He's doing every impossible idea that comes to his mind right now, but soon enough he'll come to realize that there's no escape of her and that he will have to surrender".

"Wait? What?", Kai said, absoribing every word he just heard. The voice no longer spoke and was now a long gone echo.

But he looked up at Belladonna, and realized.

Telepathy.

"What do you mean what? Get on", Morro said as he held out a hand to Kai. He had already strapped the drill and hooked it on to his dragon's saddle.

Kai took the hand but Morro pulled back.
"Let's have a little fun with this, then", he smirked evilly.
"Wha-what?", Kai asked, shrinking.

Morro rose up with his dragon into the air, hovering beneath the ceiling.
"Get on by yourself then- no airjitzu allowed", Morro jeered.
"Wat?! No, no, no, no, no, mister, I-", Kai was stopped as Morro lifted him up in the air, twirled him around  a few times and landed him on the dragon.

"Hey! What was that for?!", Kai said leaning sideways to see Morro's face.
"FOR. MY PLEASURE".

Kai pulled Morro's hair back and to his surprise Morro's head fell right onto him, his face looking up at Kai, smilingly.

"You really wanted to do that, Kai? Next time, just ask", Morro said, winking.
All kai wanted to do right now was to fall like a stone onto the ground which was like a 1000 ft below them, dig a whole and fall into it again.

But he couldn't possibly let go now. All he had to say was shut up to Morro.
"Shut up, Morro", Kai mumbled.
"Okay- but you didn't say I had to sit up so I guess that means I can stay like this as long as I wish to, right?", Morro said.
"WHAT?! NO- GET OFF RIGHT NOW", Kai gabbled angrily, but behind his fake anger, Morro sould see the red crawling up on his face as it sobered to reveal a different Kai.

An alter ego of Kai that anyone rarely saw. A small, sober smile plastered on his face and a gentle look filling the emptiness in his eyes. His face looked a washed out red like a dry betroot.

Morro sat up straight and decided that he would mess around later.
Right now? He had some business to attend to.

They prepared themselves for the crashing. However, the ice only gave in a few cracks, but that was it.

Morro's drill fell to the ground, creating a gigantic tear and the drill fell to the bottom, making a faint thud sound.

All they were left now was with a hole and just themselves. Morro dismiseed his dragon.
"Thank you", he murmured as it disappeared. The dragon whinnied like a horse.

They were left alone again.
"This can't be happening- I knew it! It's all your fault!", Morro grabbed Kai's collar and threw him away as if he was just a broken toy.
"NO IT'S NOT- YOU KNOW NINJAGO IS IN DANGER AND YOU NEVER TOLD US!", Kai burst out.
Morro scoffed with an angry smile, "Bella told you that didn't she? Stupid girl. I am the danger, okay? Now run- run away, I can't bear to look at you anymore", Morro said.

Kai drooped his shoulders in defeat- why was this so hard?
There had to be a way out.

Which is kinda ironic because the chapter's name is no way out.
