I'm not a Hero...(Book 1)

Chapter 5

Izumi

Later that same day Izuku came home and told me everything. First he started with his run-in with the sludge monster then how he was saved but passed out. He woke up to All Might smacking his face repeatedly to wake him up.

He was so excited and went to grab his book to see it was already signed he had the biggest grin on his face telling this story. All Might had captured the monster and out it in a bottle. Izuku had questions about being a hero but All Might didn't have time so he latched onto his leg as they flew through the sky.

All Might landed on a building and suddenly there was a poof of steam which revealed a skinny version of All Might. Apparently All Might had a nasty fight with a villain named All for One a long time ago but he left a nasty scar on the left part of his body.

It reduced his power making him weak and he now has a limit for him powers. He's told Izuku that without a quirk he wouldn't be a hero. This ruined his dreams because if his idol said it then it must be true. All Might realized the bottle with monster had fell when they were flying since one green couldn't find it and two there was explosions not far away.

All Might left him on the building eventually Izuku left as well. On his way home he'd saw the sludge monster and he was going to ignore it until he saw Bakugo was taken captured by it. Basically the villain used Bakugos quirk and no hero's could help him they wanted to wait until a hero could at least one compatible enough to defeat it.

Izuku knew All Mights time was up and without a second thought he ran in launching his backpack at the monsters eye before trying to claw Bakugo out of the villain it was no use and eventually All Might showed up and punched the villain through the sky creating rain

Izuku was scolded while Bakugo was praised before he slipped out. On the way home Bakugo stopped him saying he owes his nothing and he didn't need his help before leaving. Out of nowhere All Might jumped in front of him in his muscular form before he pooled to his skinny for coughing blood.

He told my brother he was here to find a successor because he was born quirkless and was given a power called one for all. It's basically a power that's passed down he explained that Izuku made a heroic act and he offered him his power. Izuku cried and agreed but first he had to exercise because if he didn't then his limbs could fall off causing me to laugh

So for the next ten months All Might will be training him and they'll start tomorrow morning on the beach. Once he finished the story I just looked at him weirdly...

"So let mer get this straight...in ten months you'll be getting All Mights quirk which isn't actually super strength it's actually one for all and technically you aren't allowed to tell anyone but you told me because I'm your twin and yada yada yada gotcha okay well that's cool" I said turning back to my homework.

"So are you really not going to accept the recommendation?" I raised on eyebrow before sighing. " I have no idea who recommended me nor do I care. My quirk...it couldn-" I was cut off by him yelling.

"No Zumi! Don't start with that 'it was my fault' crap! We both No it wasn't! You were five! You couldn't have prevented it! You weren't properly trained for that kind of situation! I don't know what happened with Endeavor, I don't know what he did but I do know it's.not.your.fault! You shouldn't blame yourself! It's your quirk Momo knows it, mom knows it, I know it, Mitsuki knows, even Kacchan knows! Your quirk is powerful! Izumi...we both know Izuma would not have wanted this..." I was surprised because I'd never heard my brother yell before

"Izuku I get where you're coming from...and I wish I could stop blaming myself but I can't...my air power wasn't able to hold up the ceiling beam, my water power couldn't put out the fire, my fire power would've only made it worse, it was too bright for my dark side, there was no earth aspect available since we were cornered, and I couldn't use my light power to do anything aside from send that Angel...Izuma is gone and he was the reason but I wasn't strong enough to save her...Izuku trust me...I'm not a hero"

He sighed watching as I fiddled with my bracelets a habit I'd picked up. Eventually he left knowing he wouldn't get through to me. I locked my door before going to my bathroom and lifting up my shirt seeing the black and white lines spreading. Taking out the pills grandma gave me I took the black and white one as the lines died down

"They're getting worse..." sighing I decided to shower and get ready for bed. Before that I decided to call Bakugo just to check in him. When I went to I just couldn't so I called Mitsuki.

"Hello?" her voice rang through by phone "Hey Mitsuki its Zumi" I replied as she squealed a little making me internally giggle. "Hello Zumi what did you need?" with a sigh I told her the honest truth. "Izu told me what happened today and I wanted to know if he was okay..." my voice trailed off as shuffling was heard.

"Yes he's fine just his normal hot headed self nothing new" I huffed in amusement "okay well I should head to bed please don't tell him I called goodnight" before she could respond I ended the call I flopped down on my bed plugging my phone up before going to sleep.

Ten Months Later, Midnight

"Hey have you guys seen the girl Izumi Midoriya?" I asked everyone in the observation room. "Isn't that the girl who was in that fire with her friend ten years ago?" Mic asked as loud as ever. "Yea, she wanted to become a hero at one point but after the incident decided she didn't want to anymore" Vlad chimed in as I nodded.

"I was at the hospital when she was rushed in she told the police that she tried using her air quirk to keep the ceiling beam up but she wasn't strong enough, apparently she couldn't use her quirk against Endeavors he'll fire because she didn't have much control yet then she said she didn't want to be a hero and blamed herself she's the one who told me what really happened" I said as recovery girl walked in.

"Yes the poor girl decided not to use her quirks anymore and bought quirk canceling bracelets and haven't used them in the last ten years. Her darkness and light quirk is catching up to her and if it spreads to her heart she'll die. I've given her pills that'll slow the process but it's getting worse" she walking over to one of the chairs in the room where we'd be watching the kids performance

"I'm the one who recommended her in hopes that she'd change her mind she could become a true hero with her quirks" I said sighing crossing my legs.

"Wait did you say quirks? As in plural? More than one?" Snipe asked while I nodded. "She had an elemental quirk and a quirk called half light half dark it's really powerful her appearance changes when she used it" before anymore questions could be asked Mic announced the start of the test.

'I was really hoping she'd except the recommendation maybe if her brothers ends up getting in she'll change her mind'
