- CHAPTER ELEVEN -

The rain fell heavier than usual as the drops pierced my skin.

I couldn't decide whether the streams of water down my cheeks were tears or the storm.

From afar I saw Harry standing, his hands rough in his pockets.

His hair sat in strings as the water dripped upon his face.

He took steps towards me slowly, and an eery feeling filled the air.

He eventually reached me, breathing heavily.

"Why did you stop loving me?" He questioned, staring down to his feet.

The thunder cracked.

"I didn't," I admitted, wiping my eyes.

"You did," he shot.

"Only because I had to!" I yelled, finally catching his eyes.

He looked to the sky, avoiding the rain.

"I can't do this," I continued.

There was no need for silence.

"What? You can't do what?" He said angrily.

I thought for only a few seconds.

"Every time I'm with you I think of the time.. The time you..."

"Save it!" He shouted, turning around and walking away.

My heart broke to see him leave.

I awoke in a cold sweat, gasping for air.

That was not just a dream, it was nightmare.

I was only afraid because I realized it was true.

I couldn't stand the feeling of fear when I was around Harry.

I wasn't afraid of him, I was afraid of what he could do.

I was afraid of heartbreak again, and I knew I wasn't willing to risk it.

I shot up out of my bed and wished to never sleep again.

I discover more of who I am in my most venerable times.

I discover more of what I avoid during my times of helplessness.

But why do I feel so helpless and alone whenever I have all the help in the world?

Why is it that I felt so happy and free when me and Harry were apart, and now that were together yet again I feel so confused?
