Christina has no idea how long she has been floating, but slowly she begins to hear voices. It takes her a few days to realize she's in someones womb. She slowly starts to accept the idea that she's going to be born again. Eventually she begins to differentiate the voices and concludes that it's her new mother and father. Hearing them is easier when they speak directly to her, and she can already tell that she will be loved beyond measure.
It's a nice feeling, knowing someone loves you just for existing. She can tell that it's almost time by the way her mother talks about being ready to pop her out already. So when she starts to see a light and feel something pushing on her, she closes her eyes. There is absolutely no way she wants to see that happening. Following the pushes, trying to get out and help her mother some by not fighting it, she feels a burst of cold air.
Crying because she's suddenly so cold, she's happy to be bathed and swaddled. After she's given to her mother she realizes she can't see very well and assumes it's because her eyes are still that of a newborn.
She hears her mother saying "oh Charlie, look at our beautiful little Isabella."
"She looks just like you, Renee. I can already tell that me and Billy will be beating the boys off of her when she's older." Her dad, now known as Charlie, says.
All four names, including her own, sound familiar to her, but being in a babies body has made her tired. Putting it to the back of her mind for now, one of the last things she hears before falling asleep is the voice of her mother. "Charlie Swan, you will do no such thing."
Then she was blissfully sleeping in the arms of her mom, unaware that she had just been born into a world she knows as fiction.
Two Years Later
So, not much has happened, although she has realized she was born as a main character in her favorite book series when she was about six months old. Breast feeding was probably the strangest thing that has ever happened.
Knowing she has two of the coolest, good with weird parents, she has already decided that she will tell them most of the truth when she turns five. Along with Billy, Harry, Sue, and Old Quil because they will be important to everything that will happen.
Right now it's the day of her second birthday. Her mom is braiding her hair when she says "Okay baby, all our friends are going to come over with their kids, I hope you can make some friends. Happy birthday, I love you, baby girl."
"I love you, too, mama." She tells her. Because she really does love her. They have been the kind of parents she always dreamed of having. Bouncing around horrible foster home to horrible foster home, this has been a dream come true.
She managed to befriend Rachel and Rebecca Black, Paul Lahote, Sam Uley, Leah Clearwater, Jessica Stanley, Angela Weber, and Mike Newton. Deciding that when her mom leaves with her that she'll maintain her friendships with them along with befriending Jacob Black, Seth Clearwater, Embry Call, and Quil the Fourth on her visits in hopes that when she moves back not all of their personalities will be as strong. Besides, all of the adults seem happy enough about the new friendships, so hopefully it won't be difficult to do so when they get older.
Three Years Later
It's her fifth birthday. Her mom had left her dad about four months after her second. She managed to talk her mom into having her party in Forks with her dad and her friends. That way she can have her parents take her to La Push the next day for the long awaited conversation she wants to have with everyone.
Keeping her friendships has been easier than she assumed it would be. Spending summers there, and talking on the phone when they can. It's not much, but them being young, it's not hard to be happy about it.
