Hoody laid on the mattress and patted the spot next to him, wanting (Y/n) to lay down beside him. She paused before complying with a frown on her lips. "Just let me get some sleep before I take you back to your dorm." He said as he reached up to fiddle with his mask.

He wanted to take it off to sleep, but knowing the girl was awake, he refused to do so. He wrapped an arm around her shoulders and pulled her head to his chest as he rested on his back. It took him a few minutes to fall asleep, but once he did, a dream formed in his mind.

He glanced to his side at the girl cuddled up to him. She was asleep. She hugged his waist as she laid next to him. She looked so peaceful, so vulnerable, so...cute.

Hoody smiled as he shook her gently. "Starlight, it's time to get up. We've got a busy day today."

A small groan left her lips as she pressed her face further into his chest. "I don't wanna." He chuckled at her childish actions as he shook her once more.

"Babe, don't make me drag you out of bed with me." He playfully warned as he began to sit up. She huffed and pulled away from him, pouting with a sleepy expression. "Good morning, beautiful." He teased as he stretched his arms toward the ceiling, noticing his lack of a shirt. Swinging his legs over the side of the bed, he stood before immediately going to grab a white button-up shirt and black dress pants from their shared closet. "What tie color should I wear?"

A hum came from the woman fiddling with a ring on her left ring finger as she made her way off of their bed. "Yellow. That is your best color, and I will match you with a pastel yellow dress." He nodded and grabbed a lighter yellow tie before he put on his clothes. He turned to see his wife pulling on a dress that looked perfect on her.

"You look stunning."

He knew her cheeks warmed up at his whispered sentence as she looked down bashfully. "Thank you." She spoke quietly as she walked over to him. "What are we eating for breakfast?"

He thought for a moment before grinning, showing off his teeth. "It'll be a bit of a surprise. You go brush your hair and do whatever else you need to do."

"Alright."

The scenery around him was a fancy restaurant, and they were in a booth in the corner of it. A window showed them the view of the bustling city as they conversed with each other. They told stories, made jokes, and flirted with each other as they ate their food, enjoying their date.

The moment was sweet.

It was memorable.

It was unrealistic.

He knew there was no way that this could turn out well. He knew that this would never happen in their real lives either.

His gut twisted as a sense of unease spread through him, as well as the feeling of being watched. His steely eyes quickly scanned each and every corner and rooftop of the city.

They stopped on the barrel of a sniper rifle, pointed in their direction. He narrowed his eyes as he attempted to see anything that would give away who the person was, but didn't find anything except a bit of tan.

"Brian? Is everything alright?" His wife asked, pulling his eyes toward her as he masked his panic with a smile.

"Everything is quite alright, (Y/n)." He assured, but could tell she didn't believe him. He noticed what he called her and his heart dropped slightly as he realized he had given away the fact that everything was not alright.

She sighed as her brows furrowed, looking in the direction of where he was staring. "What did you see?" He said nothing at her question, but rather just glanced in the direction of the sniper.

A loud bang echoed through the air.

A bullet had been shot. He knew this because could tell the sound of a gun with ease. He shot forward to move his wife out of the way, but ended up being too late. She began to fall back, a circular wound oozing blood from the center of her forehead.

"No!" He shouted as he moved around the table, knowing she was already dead. Tears threatened to leak down his face as he pulled the limp body to his. "Shit shit shit shit shit." He pushed his head into her shoulder as he let out a silent sob, swearing in his breath.

His sorrowful expression turned into one of anger as he lifted his head to stare at where the sniper he saw was. He tightened his grip on his wife's corpse as he glared.

Screams echoed around him, and he could just barely hear someone talking on the phone with whom he assumed was the police. He kept his gaze trained on the barrel, waiting for a bullet to be shot at him as well. "Come on, bitch. Kill me already, damnit." He let a small smirk as he heard another bang, the gold of the bullet shimmering in the calm lights of the restaurant.

It hit his forehead and hurt for a split second before everything went dark.

His breathing was heavy as his eyes snapped open. His free hand immediately touched the fabric of his mask, which calmed him down significantly.

Hoody looked down to see his soulmate sleeping against him, making him a little surprised. He didn't expect that she would be comfortable enough to. He sighed as he quietly groaned, tightening his grip on her.

"Starlight." He grumbled and shook her a bit, his voice deep from just waking up. She shifted, and only cuddled into him more. "Wake up." He demanded as he shook her even more.

(Y/n) let out a small noise before she jumped slightly, scooching away from him the best she could. "Sorry." She looked down, bashfully, getting a blank stare in return from under his mask.

"It's whatever." Hoody sat up and pulled his hood up. He pushed himself to his feet and stretched, popping and cracking coming from him. "Let's get you back to your dorm now. It should be around midday." The girl nodded as she stood up, stretching herself as she silently watched him.

Hoody ignored her as he threw his backpack over his shoulders. He walked past her and headed down the stairs, his soulmate following closely behind him.

"Just don't lose me." He grumbled to her as he glanced out a whole in the wall.

"I'll try not to."
