"NOVA" i yell walking over to the smiley girl shuffling things in her locker

"hey val watsup"

"nothin much. charlotte and i were wondering if u wanted to go for smoothies later?" charlotte actually went to class but we had already discussed.

"i would but matts coming over"

"matt?..the triplet?"

"yeah" she giggles

"to ur house?"

"yep!"

"oh" when my face dropped i had to smile extra hard. but idk y my face dropped.

"are u okay?" she asked looking at me weirdly

"yeah i'm fine. that's just unusual" i laugh "what are u guys doing?"

"i asked him to help me with my english homework"

"u know matt sucks at english"

"he got a better grade then me"
i giggle at her shrug

"ok have fun, text me later"

"bye v!" she sang as i walked towards my class.

"watsup" chris nudges my shoulder in class after speaking with nova.

"huh- nothing"

"u have been staring at the floor for about twenty minutes. i thought u fell asleep"

"has nova ever said anything to u about matt?" i didn't mean to actually say it out loud, but the words tumbled so quickly i couldn't stop them!

"vallery what are u talking about" i give him a look "no he hasn't. well not in a weird way if that's what ur trying to get at"

"so he does talk about her"

"WHAT??" i shout a little loudly for a class room but no one cares. we're leaving in 10 minutes anyways.

"WHY?!" he shouts

"just wondering.."

i shrink down and mumble a 'no'

"ok tell me why u are acting weirdly about this. like rn. because if ur worried abt this bitch snatching ur mans-" he stopped himself putting his hands up in defence.
