This is their reactions to you waking up screaming/crying, multiple of them might be in each story but whoever's name is the one you're dating
Darry
You were sleeping over at the Curtises with Darry and of course Soda and Pony were sleeping in the other room, Darry had your back to him with his arm wrapped around you, you were sleeping until you had a flashback of a kid from school beating the crap out of you in the bathroom popped in your head, you woke up screaming and shaking
Darry "darling, what happened!?"
He realizes you're shaking really bad so he pulls you into his chest
Darry "hey, hey, it's ok, I've got you"
Suddenly Soda and Pony ran into the room
Soda and Pony "what happened!?"
You're clinging onto Darry crying and shaking
All three of them notice
Darry "Soda can you get her some water?"
Soda "of course Dar"
Soda goes to get your glass of water, Pony stands there not knowing what to do and Darry comforts you while trying to figure out what happened
Y/n *deep breath*
Darry "that's it darling"
Soda hands you the water, you gulp it down and explain what happened
All three of them are furious there's some kid that has been bullying you like that at school, after a while you fall back asleep in Darrys arms with all three of them comforting you
Soda
You're taking a nap at the Curtis house since no one is home, Pony is at school, Darry is fixing a roof and Soda is at work
You start having a nightmare about losing Soda in a gang fight
Soda comes home to find you sleeping in his bed and he thinks you look adorable until he realizes that you're squirming around crying and you look scared
He runs over to you and shakes you awake
Soda "babygirl!"
Y/n *jolts up sobbing* "S-Soda I-I-I lost you and y-you weren't breathing" *sobs harder*
Soda *wraps his arms around you* "shhhhhhh, it's ok, you'll never lose me"
Y/n "s-stay with me, please"
Soda "of course babygirl"
He lays with you holding you as close as possible and the next couple days he doesn't want you to leave his side to make sure you're ok
Dally
Dally is teaching Pony and Jonny a card game at the Curtis house and you fell asleep on the couch
You're having a flashback of the time Dally came to your house badly beaten with a bloody busted face, you start screaming and the boys run over to you
Jonny "Dal whats happening!?"
Dally "I don't know!"
Pony shakes you awake
You jolt up and jump hug Dally when you see that he's ok
Y/n *sobbing* "you're ok, you're ok!"
Dally *caresses your hair* "of course I am doll"
Pony "she looks pretty shaken up Dal, why don't you get her some water and you two rest in my room for a while"
Dally "yeah, thank you Pony"
He takes you to the kitchen and puts you on the counter, you explain to him what happened while he gets you water
Dally "I'm so sorry I scared you doll" *kisses you*
Y/n "I just don't wanna lose you Dal"
Dally "and you won't"
After you drink the water he carries you to the bedroom and you two lay down resting together, the rest of the night he doesn't let go of you for anything, Soda and Pony even sleep in the living room that night so Dally doesn't have to wake you up again
Two-bit
This time all seven boys are at the Curtis house with you, but they're all spread out through the house and a couple of them are already sleeping, Two-bit is laying on the couch watching Mickey while you're sleeping on his chest
You start having a nightmare about seeing Two-bit being stabbed in a fight, you start squirming and sobbing into his chest
Two-bit "love, wake up!"
You jolt up realizing that you're crying after seeing Two-bits wet shirt
Y/n *shaky* "y-you were stabbed, y-you were d-dead"
Two-bit "oh love, I'm ok, I promise I'm here"
Steve and Soda walk in the room seeing you sobbing on Two-bits chest
Steve "what happened y/n!?"
Words just don't come out, all they can hear is you whimpering
Two-bit "she was sleeping on my chest and she saw me get stabbed and die"
Soda "oh y/n, I promise we will protect Two-bit with our lives, he's safe with us"
Y/n *chokes out* "thank you"
Steve "I'll get her some water"
Two-bit "thanks Steve"
Steve goes to get you some water while Two-bit gently caresses your face, when Steve comes back he sets the water on the table noticing you've fallen back asleep
Soda *whispers* "she's fallen back asleep"
Two-bit *nods and kisses your head*
Of course before leaving the room Steve and Soda quietly tease Two-bit for being all lovey-dovey but of course he doesn't care he's constantly showing you his love whether it's in public or private
Steve
You have fallen asleep on the couch at the Curtis house and you're having a nightmare about the time you had to go to the hospital because Steve had almost gotten crushed by a car he was working on, you're squirming and tears are running down your face (the reason you're having a nightmare instead of a flashback is because you weren't there when it happened but you were in the hospital when he was passed out with injuries after it did happen)
Steve comes to the Curtis house after work for some cake and when he goes into the house he hears you whimpering and runs over to you waking you up
Steve "hey beautiful, it's ok, just breathe for me
Y/n *shaking* "y-you were hurt, you w-weren't waking up *sobs harder* why didn't you wake up"
Steve "oh beautiful did you have a nightmare about the time I got hurt at work?"
You nod, he pulls you into his arms and presses your foreheads together
Steve "I know that really scared you, but I'm ok now and I haven't gotten hurt since"
Y/n "stay with me"
Steve *smiles* "always my beautiful girl"
Jonny
You and Johnny are sleeping on that car seat in the park wrapped up in blankets and each other, you start having a flashback when you and the gang were hanging out and a fight happened and Johnny's face got cut so badly he's got a huge scar on the side of his face now and you remember that punch to Johnny's face not being able to do anything, you start shaking and crying
Jonny *gentle* hey precious *caressing your face* I don't know if you can hear me but whatever's going on it's going to be alright, I'm right here"
You wake up
Y/n *tears streaming* "Jonny?"
Jonny "come here precious, I'll protect you"
You snuggle into his arms and he wraps them around you covering you back up, you reach up wanting to touch his scar, but you pull your hand away, he gently grabs your hand bringing it to the cheek with the scar
Jonny "is this what it's about?"
Y/n *crying* "I'm so sorry I couldn't protect you"
Jonny "y/n, you don't need to protect me, you're my precious girl and I'm going to love you forever, no matter what"
You still have tears in your eyes, but now they're happy tears, you both fall back asleep with smiles on your faces
Pony
You're at the Curtis house sleeping with Pony because Soda is out with Steve tonight, you start having a flashback of being beaten up by a couple girls from your class in the park, you're sobbing in your sleep
Pony is trying to wake you up but you won't wake up and he doesn't really know what to do
Pony *yelling* "Darry! Somethings wrong!"
Darry runs in seeing you squirming and sobbing, he runs over to you
Darry "what's wrong y/n?!"
You wake up seeing Pony and Darry staring at you and you feel tears running down your face
Pony *pulls you close* "what happened sunshine?"
Y/n *struggling* "I can't breathe"
Pony "Darry what do we do?!"
Darry "hey y/n, it's ok just try to breathe with me, deep breaths"
Y/n *deep breaths*
Pony *gentle* "that's it sunshine"
Darry *gentle* "there you go y/n"
Pony "can you tell us what got you so shaken up?"
You take off your shirt while grunting in pain, you have a bruise around your neck from being choked, a bruise on your ribs from being kneed in the ribs twice and you have your arm bandaged from one of the girls cutting you
Both of them look furious, but they try to stay calm so they can pay attention as you explain to them what happened
Pony "that's not just bullying sunshine"
Darry "he's right I mean they physically cut you on purpose"
Pony would want to be the one to do this but you both would be too young to do this so instead Darry and Two-bit go to your school the next school day and talks to the principal and both girls were expelled and their parents were told but their parents seemed just as rich and snobby as their kids, but at least you know they won't be at school anymore and the boys will always be there to help and protect you
