I was sweating as I stepped inside the convenience store near the park, just after finishing my jog. Of course, I was drenched in sweat.
I wiped the sweat off my face with my white handkerchief, trying to regain some composure. The air conditioning hit me, providing a brief relief from the heat outside.
I headed straight for the aisle with bottled mineral water. I preferred the still water over the cold variety, especially after a run. Cold water felt too harsh on my throat right after exercising.
Once I grabbed a bottle, I was about to head to the counter when I sensed someone watching me.
I turned around, curiosity piquing my interest, but I couldn't see the face of the man who was staring at me. He quickly ducked behind a shelf filled with snacks, his presence lingering in the air like a forgotten melody. My heart raced a little—was he just being friendly, or was there something more?
Despite my initial instinct to ignore it, a mix of intrigue and apprehension washed over me. I shook off the feeling, trying to focus on the task at hand, but I couldn't help stealing glances toward the aisle where he had disappeared, wondering who he was and why he had been watching me.
Tinitignan ba ako nung lalaki? Or nag a-assume lang ako na tinitignan niya ako? Medyo familiar din ang lalaking tumitingin sakin, sino kaya Yun?
Akmang sisilip ako sa kabilang aisle kung saan nandun ang lalaki nang biglang tumunog ang phone ko na nasa kamay ko.
Tinignan ko kung sino ang nag text sakin, si Archer lang pala...
