She stood up in front of the announcement board while staring at the posters attached to it. She gripped on her bag straps tightly, almost teary-eyed as she felt betrayed on what she just witnessed. She decided to walk away since most of the students around her were talking about her. It was already dismissal, so she went to the library to be alone for a while. She knew that her friends were looking for her but she didn't have the guts to face them. She felt like a failure.
"Fuyu." An arm stopped her from walking inside the library. She looked at him and found the Student Council President holding on to her arm. She forced a smile and gently took his hand off her arm before continuing on walking.
"Listen to me first." He said softly since they were already inside. She put her bag in the baggage counter and then, she ignored him. He followed her until she stopped in front of a bookshelf. She faced him and he saw tears falling from her eyes.
"It was not my decision. The Director decided to launch her project first rather than yours." He explained and she covered her face to hide her tears. She was the first one to submit her advocacy but it turned out that the Director favored the transferee student more than her.
"It's not your fault. It's my fault for being incompetent and inefficient." She sobbed softly and he shook his head. He placed a hand on her shoulder and gripped on it gently. He couldn't hug her as everyone knows that she is already in a relationship with the Third Prince.
"You're not incompetent. You're not inefficient. The Director is just.. unfair." He added and she wiped her tears. She already decided. Everything she planned for advocacy felt useless for her. She went to her little secret spot inside the library and then, she pulled out a folder behind the bookshelf.
"I don't need these documents anymore. Discard it if you want to." She mumbled while handing the folder to him and then, she left him alone there. He stared at it before flipping it open. He saw all the plans she had for the advocacy and it was a long-term one. There were also floor plans for the small libraries she would build on a few secluded cities.
When she arrived at the school gates, she saw her twin brother waiting for her. She smiled faintly and immediately ran towards him for a tight hug. He already knew what happened, so he urged her to get inside the car. They got their family driver this time, so both of them were in the backseats. She rested her head on his shoulder while trying her best not to cry again. She closed her eyes and decided to take a quick nap.
Meanwhile, the Fifth and Sixth Princesses sat on the couch, feeling worried about the youngest princess. They couldn't talk to their own men because they were still mad at what they did during their summer vacation. It has been two weeks since they went back to Tokyo and yet, they couldn't bear to talk to them because of the transferee student. In the first place, they don't really like her anymore. They felt like she would be a problem and they were right about it.
"Sho is currently out of the country for a business trip and I'm sure that Fuyu will not tell him about it. I mean, she doesn't want it to be a big deal since it was the Director who made the decision." The Fifth Princess said and then, she felt her phone vibrating. She saw the Fourth Prince's name on her phone screen but she dropped the call instead.
"Let's go to Fuyu's mansion and have a sleepover. It's Friday today. We can stay there until Sunday." The Sixth Princess suggested and the older one smiled widely while nodding. They quickly left their office and went back home for a while to get some clothes. They didn't inform the Ninth Princess to surprise her.
"Nii, I told you to leave me alone. I will not eat dinner." The Ninth Princess said while hugging her huge blue teddy bear. She heard her bedroom door opening and she was already in her pajamas to sleep early.
"Angel." She felt a kiss on her temples and she quickly turned around to hug the Third Prince. He just arrived from a business trip and he asked the driver to go there first before going back home.
"It will be fine soon. If they don't want your advocacy, we will make it happen using our own resources." He hugged her back tight and she started crying silently. He continued to leave kisses on her temples and this calmed her down.
He told her that he would change clothes first and when he got back to her bedroom, he was already wearing a pair of pajamas with the same design as hers. He also told his driver to go back home without him. He asked her if she was hungry but she shook her head. It was a good thing that he had a meal when he was on the plane. He laid down beside her and they were surprised that the door banged open.
"What are you doing here?!" The Fifth Princess asked the Third Prince while carrying her bag full of clothes that she would use for the sleepover. He glared at the two as he felt like they were there to ruin their moment alone together.
"I should be the one asking you that. What are you two doing here? It is natural for me to rush home because my girlfriend needs me and my comfort." He said and the Sixth Princess rolled her eyes before pushing him off the bed.
"We will have a sleepover. You can go to the other room now." The Sixth Princess smiled at him but then, he carried the Ninth Princess in his arms and rushed out of her bedroom to go to the other room.
The two princesses prevented themselves from shouting since they would wake up the other people who were already sleeping peacefully, especially the Ninth Princess' grandfather. They quickly followed them to the other room but the door was locked. They asked the maid for the spare keys and when they finally opened it, they found them already asleep in the bed. Both were tired, so the Fifth Princess decided to get her phone and take photos of them sleeping together.
