"Let's break up." She felt like her world stopped when she heard those words from him. She scoffed as her tears started to fall from her eyes. She took the effort to apply make-up on her face just for him but it seemed like it was just a waste.
"Why? Was it because of her?" She almost choked with her words but she managed to keep herself calm during those moments. She wiped her tears as she already knew that he would not wipe it for her.
"No, there's no third party, Gia." She bit her lips and she started hitting his chest while crying hard. She didn't ask for any more except for his love. She was fine that he was taking everything slow. She wasn't forcing him to do those things with her but the moment that girl arrived in Royal High, everything became a mess.
"Is she the reason why you can't even tell me that you love me? What did I do wrong? Am I not enough?" She slapped him until she slumped on the floor. She covered her face to hide her pain and tears but she wasn't strong enough to do that.
"I love you but why are you doing this to me?" She said between her cries and when he tried to hug her, she just pushed him away. He didn't say anything more and he left her alone instead. She screamed on top of her lungs and the maids rushed to her as she had already lost consciousness.
It has been an hour and she finally regained consciousness. Their family doctor checked her up and then, the door opened. It was the Second Prince. She didn't know why he was there but she already had the hunch that he knew what happened between her and the Fourth Prince. The doctor left them alone and then, he sat in the space beside her. She looked at him when he suddenly left a kiss on her forehead.
"Let's go somewhere." He said softly. She didn't know what had gotten in her mind and she nodded. She got up from her bed and then, he waited for her in the living room. She changed her clothes into comfortable ones.
"Where will we go?" She asked but he just held her hand and brought her outside. He put the helmet on her and then, they rode on his motorbike. She wrapped her arms around his torso and held tight on him.
She looked at him the moment he stopped at the side. A small smile formed on her lips when she realized that he brought her to the seaside. He helped her take the helmet off and then, he hid his bike keys inside his pocket before parking it at the side, leaving their helmets there. She ran towards the water and quickly removed her shoes. He followed her while smiling softly. He reached for her hand and held it tight.
"Why did you bring me here?" She asked and he gently pulled her closer to leave a kiss on her lips. She slowly closed her eyes and tears fell from her eyes once again. She was about to kiss him back when she realized that he was with the transferee student.
"You have a girlfriend." She started walking away from her but he pulled her back to him and hugged her from behind. Will the Gods forgive him for being thankful that they broke up already?
"She is not my girlfriend. It was just an act. Stay with me, Gia. Love me like the way I love you." He whispered and he tightened his hug. She shook her head and released herself from his hug. She smiled faintly and reached for his cheek to caress it.
"I love Itsuki and I don't know when I will be able to move on. Let me love myself first." She said and he held her hand once again as he left a kiss on her palm. Was she the reason why he declined the arranged marriage?
"Riku, I don't want you to wait for me. It will make me feel bad. I want you to focus on other things and if you still love me the moment I finally have enough courage to take risks again, we can be together." He placed her hand on his left chest and let her feel his heartbeat.
"My heart will only beat for you and I am sure of that. I will wait for you and you don't need to feel bad about it. It is my decision to wait for you. I will wait for you until you're ready to love again." She chuckled softly and nodded. When she thought that the Fourth Prince would be the last man in her life, she was wrong.
"Thank you, Riku. Thank you for loving me. I appreciate it." He wrapped his arms around her once again and kissed her lips. At that moment, she lost count on how many times he kissed her. She didn't bother anymore as they watched the sunset together.
After playing at the seaside, he gave her his hoodie to her and they went to the next destination which is a seafood restaurant. They had dinner together and when it was already the right time, he finally urged her to go back home. She rested her head on his back while holding tight on him. She always thought of avoiding him since the Fourth Prince was getting jealous but it turned out that he would be her safety net. They arrived home and when she asked him if he wanted to stay over, he declined the invitation. She walked inside and she already expected that her parents and grandparents were there. She smiled faintly and she immediately hugged her mother to cry again. It was her first heartbreak.
"Is there any chance for you two to go back together again?" Her grandfather asked and she shook her head. Why would she accept again the man who broke her heart? If he can break her heart once, it means he could do it to her again.
"Do you want me to cancel the engagement?" Her grandfather asked once more and she shook her head again. She wiped her tears, feeling that she should be the one to do that. She also needed a clear and valid explanation from his side why he would break up with her.
"I'll cancel it myself, Ojii-sama. There are lots of things we should talk about." She answered, trying to calm herself down. It took her a while to completely calm down and then, she went to her bedroom to fix herself.
She sat in front of her dresser mirror and stared at her reflection. There were so many things that happened that day. First, the Fourth Prince broke up with her. Next, the Second Prince went there to bring her to the seaside and then, he confessed his love. She thought that those things would only happen in television dramas but she was wrong. It also happened to her. She dried her hair with the blower and then, she went to bed. She sighed deeply and closed her eyes. She doesn't know if she should wish that all of those are just dreams.
