"Luz Noceda. What can I say about that kid?" Eda said as she stepped onto the podium. "She's a fighter. She won't stop until she put a smile on someone's face. She was like a daughter to me..." she paused. She felt tears build up in her eyes but she tried to hold them back. Camila smiled up at Eda. Silently thanking her kind words. Vee and Hunter sat by her. They both sat quietly, looking down. Amity stood in the corner of the room. An emotionless expression. Ed and Em sat down in the back with their parents. King was standing next to Eda. Hoot and Lilith stood off to the side. It seems like everyone from Hexside was there. Even Boscha was there. Principal Bump, Eda and Liliths parents, Raine, Darius, Eberwolf. Everyone came to honor the life of Luz.
"I think all of us can agree that she was gone too soon...Only 16 for Titans sake" Eda stepped off the stage. King followed. They both sat outside to take a breather.
Amity was going up next. "Just as Eda said, what can I say? I mean...she always their for us. No matter what. She was an amazing girlfriend, she is an amazing girlfriend. I've never met anyone quite like her." She inhaled and exhaled slowly. "I was so lucky to have met her. We all were. I've changed for the better because of Luz. I've become myself..." She stepped away and went to hug Camila. She returned it.
"I'm so happy that my daughter met people that loved her and cared for her as much as I do." Amity nodded and sat down beside her.
She will be missed.
She lay in the coffin.
Everyone said goodbye to her one last time.
She was lowered into the ground, buried in front of the house where she first met Eda.
Her gravestone said the words:
"Luz Noceda, a loving daughter and friend. Someone no one will forget."
They planted flowers with glyphs.
They made light glyphs and set them off around the grave. It lit up the night sky.
"It's okay Luz...you can rest now."
