Jiro POV
I'm sitting in the backseat of my close friend Denki's car. I'm now a month from fourteen. I'm starting high school in a couple months. Who knows if I'm ready, but life waits for no one. Denki invited me to go to the giant outdoor market with him. It's nighttime, so I don't have anything to do, but I still didn't want to go. I recently started my period, I'm a very late bloomer, and although I've had a couple of them already, I'm still uncomfortable with it. I thought it would never come, and now that it has I wish that that had been true. I hate it. Denki knows since I was at his house when it first happened, but still, I don't want him to know anymore than that. I just wanna be home. But I couldn't just blow him off, so I went. I squirm the entire way to the market.
Once Denki's mom drops us off, we head into the market. And it is huge. I mean HUGE. I'm glad I decided to come after all, I do love this market. Mosquitos buzz in the muggy summer air, making me glad I decided to bring mosquito repellent. I give my legs a spray down, and Denki's too. We weave through the stalls, looking at all the food and produce for sale. After doing some shopping we get in a very long time to get some cinnamon sugar donuts. The line was surprisingly very worth it, they were absolutely delicious. As I was wiping sugar off my mouth I see Denki looking shocked.
"What's wrong Kami?" I ask.
And then I see it too. I whip out my phone camera only to see my markings glowing brightly, something they have only done once. Something they haven't done for four years. I gasp.
"We have to find her!" I cry, "I'm not letting her get away this time."
And yes, I've started saying "she". I've decided that I'm definitely lesbian. But that doesn't matter right now, right now I have to find her.
"Let's go!" I yell at Denki.
He nods and we take off running. We weave in and out of stalls, around the sides, and at the grassy areas, looking for a girl with glowing purple markings. I wonder if my soulmate is doing the exact same thing.

Momo POV
Oh my god. My markings are glowing. The girl, she's here, at the market! I start to run. I won't lose her this time, not ever again. I look everywhere I can think of, looking for a girl with purple hair and glowing markings. I search and search, but the market is VERY big. No no no. I have to find her, I HAVE to find her.
After 30 more minutes of frantic searching I'm thoroughly exhausted. I collapse on a bench to catch my breath. I won't stop. An old man come and sits down next to me.
"Are you ok miss?" he asked.
"Y...yea. Yea, I'm fine." I say.
That was convincing Momo. Well I'm only thirteen! I need help. I wish I had someone, anyone, to help me. I made one friend, so things have been better. Not as lonely. His name is Shoto, I tell him everything. I wish he was here. Up until now I had forgotten the old man was there, lost in my own thoughts.
"You're looking for your soulmate, aren't you young one?"
"H...how did you know?" I ask.
He points to my face.
"O...oh. Of course," I say, feeling really stupid.
That's when I notice something about this man. He has no soulmate markings. He has no soulmate. I have no idea why this affects me so much, I've seen people like this before, but it does. I feel a stab of pain in my heart.
"I will help you look,"
I'm surprised. This stranger wants to help me?
"Ok,"
