Shailene's POV
It's already January. New Year's came by pretty quickly last week, me and Theo went to my friend's party but not until midnight, because we wanted to share our first new year's alone. We cuddled, and, of course, shared a kiss, probably more like a make out, and more stuffs.
Things have been pretty casual and relax since we haven't done much except preparing things for Insurgent. Our friends and family have been very verbal about their excitement, it makes both me and Theo feel proud of what we're doing in our lives. Two months can be a long time to prepare, but it can also be fast when you don't aware of your time management, I'm more the kind of lay back person, but when it comes to my job, I take it very seriously. Well, kind of.
"You know," Theo said with a cup of coffee in his hands, "I don't understand why you wear those jeans. Look at them! It's too short! Look at your butt, they're going to pop out at any moment now for sure!"
I was mixing my bowl of salad with its dressing in the kitchen. Theo as always, checking me out. Typical.
"Well, I'm sorry, it's not that I was planning to annoy you or something," I glanced to his way, meeting his eyes, smirking when I feel him staring back at me with lust, "are you gonna keep being annoying or do I have to be sent to change my clothes for exercising my domestic rights as an American citizen to wear whatever I please?"
I hid my face away for his view so he can't see me stiffling a laugh by biting my lip so hard, without making them bleed. I heard his cup being put on the table, and footsteps walking towards me.
I felt him placed his hands on my waist and I forced myself not to stop mixing my salad, "Baby," I felt his breath on my neck, sending me shivers throught out my body, "I don't remember you have a naughty mouth," the touch of his lips on the skin of my shoulder, trailing to my neck, making me stop mixing the damn thing, and when its just about to touch the back of my ear, where he knows that's my favorite place when it comes to kisses beside my lips, he stops, "but then, you're not the only one."
And he steps back, taking his previous spot and sips on his coffee.
Damn this guy can be such a tease!
I groan softly, and continue mixing the salad. As I finish, I walk to the dining table, passing Theo on the way without looking at his face. I heard him chuckle, probably my annoyed face was the cause.
"Don't be mad, babe," he walk towards me then kisses me on the cheek while I eat my salad, "love you."
And with that my heart melts a little.
"Oh Theo! I almost forgot! Andrew, my cousin, and his wife Jenna, they're going to come this noon, is that okay?"
Andrew and I were so close when we were kids, even though he's a few years older than me, somehow, it didn't stop us from being best buds. He and his wife married three years ago, and a few months ago, they welcome their first baby.
"Sure, maybe I should go to the store and buy some drinks, what do you think?" Theo suggest with the cutest smile.
"Oh baby, how very nice of you. Maybe you'll get some tonight after all." I said with a playful wink.
He laughs, then kiss my lips lightly, "I'll hold you to that."
He stand straight, and started to walk towards out bedroom, "Hey! Where are you going?" I called out.
"Shower!" He shouts back.
"Want me to scrub your back?" I just need to asked that, maybe he really needs me to do that. Who knows, right?
