He couldn't bring himself to believe what O'Reilly said that night. But it's been three weeks since then, not much has changed for Draco since. Following orders, completing homework, and trying to get her out of his fucking head. It wasn't the right time to get involved with her, now thinking about it: When will be the right time? After his task was complete, the opportunity for another wizarding war opens up to Voldemort. Draco could never have a chance at growing old if he were to get killed in a battle; he had taken the responsibility of becoming a follower of one of the most dangerous leaders of the age. There's no point in even thinking about a future, he told himself.

Draco had to live his life now. And currently "now" meant attempting to enter the Room of Requirement for the millionth time. His memory was rusty, he'd help breach it's doors last year as a part of Umbridge's Squad but couldn't fully remember the exact spot that it happened. But everyone at Hogwarts knew the room was on the seventh floor of the castle.

As Draco turnt another corner of the seventh floor for what seemed like the third time, he watched as a small pebble rolled past his shoe. Only to look up to see two stone doors had formed into the walls. Needless to say, Draco was ecstatic to accidentally find the entrance of this mysterious room. Maybe his tendency to wander actually helped him for once.

Draco couldn't just blow through the doors like he had before, that could easily get himself caught by anyone. The cabinet was calling his name, the room "where everything was hidden" he said to himself. He closed his eyes and suddenly heard a small click next to his ear. Opening his eyes quickly he realized it wasn't someone coming around the corner, but the room allowing his entry.

Piles upon plies of desks, bookcases filled to the brim, anything you could ever dream of was probably here. The amount of things surrounding him was overwhelming and finding this twin cabinet seemed close to impossible. He would have to roam for hours on end to find it, which is exactly what Draco did. Spending his weekend in the Room of Requirement wasn't ideal but he didn't have a choice; maybe if he looked hard enough he would find a mattress and some sheets to save time.

...

When Draco returned to the common room he could just barely keep his eyes open to even notice who was calling his name.

"Malfoy!" They yelled for the fifth time.

He slowly looked up from his shoes and saw Theo and Blaise waving for him to join them on the couch. Draco gave both boys the death stare and shook his head. But it didn't look like he was allowed to say no, because next thing he knew he was basically being dragged onto the couch.

"Where were you all damn day?" Theo cursed, dropping one of Draco's arms.

"Basically everyone in Slytherin house was looking for you, well I'm bluffing but you know what I mean." Blaise said as he sat down again. "For fuck's sack even Pansy looked a bit concerned."

Malfoy rolled his eyes at the sound of her name. "I highly doubt any of what you just said," He yawned. "Either help me up to the dorms or through me one of those pillows I swear." Draco's eyes kept closing and reopening until he just decided to slump on the couch. The amount of effort he was putting into the Dark Lord's wishes was draining him like he had a water spigot on the back of his head that just never shut off. Even though he was supposed to be passed out on the couch he was still aware of his surroundings, Blaise and Theo continued talking about random things and how footsteps were growing near...

"Juniper! What a lovely surprise." Blaise exclaimed happily. "We were just talking about you!"

"Yeah okay." Her voice was closer to Draco, he assumed she was sitting on the ground somewhere near him. "Sometimes it's impossible to escape my roommates."

"Definitely sounds like a nightmare to have Pansy and Astoria as roommates for the rest of the year." Theo laughed. "You'll always be welcome in our dorm you know." Draco assumed Theo followed his words with a wink.

Blaise chuckled, "Yeah but you have to be quiet past eight, or else you could risk waking up the dragon." Draco knew he was talking about him but he had absolutely no energy left to wake up and say something about it.

"Do you think he's actually asleep?" Juniper asked quietly. "Or is he just ease-dropping on us?"

"No way that man would sleep for weeks if he could, you should have seen him when he got back." Theo said as he messed up Draco's hair.

"What do you mean by that?" Her tone had changed, Draco now wished he was still awake so he could reassure her that nothing was wrong, but then again it would be awkward to wake up in front of people who presumed him sleeping.

Blaise's voice got close as well, like he was next to Juniper now. "Theo's just trying to get a raise out of you, he probably just had a long day."

Draco was on a tipping point, why did Blaise get so close all of a sudden? Why was Draco getting jealous over his best friend and a girl he wasn't supposed to even glance at? Sure he was just telling himself to stay away from her but something just drew him even closer to her.

Merlin! He was so frustrated with himself.
