It was a field day at shield once they got a hold of the Sagedrop Cafe situation. The story they had heard?

Loki, brother of Thor, who had attacked New York just weeks before, had somehow escaped his asgardian confinements and had ended up in a random town in upstate New York, where he had attacked some civilians in a coffee shop before being apprehended by a barista. Sure, it was a mouthful, but the situation had been taken care of. Right?

Wrong. Within hours, Loki had somehow managed to escape his chains, evade numerous shield agents, all with enough time to completely disappear from the site. All of this left the newer agents in shock.

For the original six, though, the scene was all too familiar. And they didn't like how the curtain had dropped before. Stark himself knew how much of a threat the god was, but with flashbacks to Coulson, was hesitant in releasing any protocols.

Thor, however, was not. He knew nothing of why his brother was so desperate to return to earth after what had happened before. He had no idea how he had managed to escape Odin's imprisonment, or how he managed to slip past Heimdall and travel back to Midgard in the first place. He only knew that, whatever Loki was doing, he needed to be stopped. He also knew that, it anyone else found him first, they might be less understanding than him. Thor would do anything to protect his friends, but he would also do the same for his brother. Of course, there was still the obstacle of Tony's reluctance, but he would work it out somehow.

In the meantime, the agents who had failed to keep the god of mischief chained were growing tired. Loki had made himself a few enemies in his hours in captivity, and those enemies were just as determined as Thor to track down the god - although, for much different reasons.

Which, is how they managed come across an alleyway near a certain coffee shop.
