Chapter 28

Louis POV

"Hey mate I'm going to go get a coffee do u want some?" Liam said as he was walking to the door.

"No but can u get me a water?" I rubbed my tired face and looked at Carolyn.

"Yeah sure." Liam responded with a hint of worried and concern but I brushed it off and stood up to stretch my legs.

I have been for almost three days now, I never left Carolyn's side well only when I had to use the restroom. Zayn and Liam were the ones to get me food while Harry and Niall were watching Ellie to make sure she wouldn't run off again.

That scared the fuck out me when she did. She ran off, Carolyn is still unconscious, and to top all of that off I haven't taken a shower in a week!

I'm so stressed and tired but I feel like if I leave Carolyn side she would wake up and not see my face, the first thing I want her to see when she does wake up.

Ever since Eleanor died, I've gotten a lot closer to Carolyn. I know I haven't known her that long but that is my goal: to take her out and get to know her.

I was so lost in thought I forgot Liam has even came back but not only him but everyone else. "Here you go mate." Liam said as he passed me a cup of ice water.

"Thanks" I mumbled.

"How are you doing El?" I asked as I saw her sit down next to Niall and Trish and with Harry leaning back on her legs.

"I'm doing okay. How about you?" She forced a smile upon her lips and looked at me with dull eyes.

"Fan-fucking-tastic" I whispered but I guess she heard me because she nodded and frowned.

I sighed and looked back at Carolyn before looking at the others."guys I'm going to go home and take a shower,please as soon as she wakes up can you call me?" I looked at each and everyone of them as I got up from the uncomfortable chair.

"Yes of course" Rachel was the one to speak and I nodded and rushed off.

Harry POV

Well I am surprised Louis even got up from his spot.

I am still sitting here with wide eyes and jaw open.

"Did anybody think Louis has gone insane." I heard Zayn say.

We all murmured a 'yes' and for a moment we all sat there in silent, but of course I can't stand the silence.

"Guys this is depressing." I leaned back on Ellie's legs and put my arms on her knees.

"Yeah it kind of is. Watching out best friend while she is unconscious." Trish said.

I was about to speak until a doctor came in with a sad smile.

"Hello I'm doctor Davis." He came in with a clipboard and a nurse by his side.

"And this is Nurse Henson" he pointed the male nurse. He had shiny whipped dark brown hair, emerald eyes and he looked very muscular. Holy fuck I sound gay. And I was really looking forward to see a female nurse instead, now I'm disappointed.

"Hello, you guys can call me Luke." He smiled at the girls and that just made me a little pissed off. We have a fucking friend that is unconscious!! And I can tell the guys were thinking the same thing but we were also pissed that he was looking at our girls like that.

I purposely coughed and he dragged his eyes from the girls to me. "Yeah hi pretty boy I'm Harry." His smiled faded and shifted uncomfortably in his spot. That's right mother trucker. Yeah that's right I said trucker!

"Anyways I just came in here to tell you that Carolyn should be waking up anytime now. She responded magnificently to the treatment we had given her." He smiled and left us waiting.

"I am going to call Louis." Zayn said after a moment of silence.

I wonder if Louis is going to replace me with Carolyn?
