Bethanie's POV

I've always had a crush on Jacob Jackson. He is about 6'4' with a muscular body that I adore.

Jacob is the perfect guy although he treats me like shit but I know he is sweet deep down. We were friends back in preschool. Jacob, Jimmy and I were so close but time passed and everything changed. I joined the arts club while he found his passion in sports. I love every single detail about him.

His brown hair that moves every time he does, his green-bluish eyes that shine brighter than the sun and those lips that are so puffed and so red.

When I asked him to help us and to join the arts club I wasn't actually thinking,I mean I knew he had basketball practice and that basketball is his passion but I just went and asked him anyway. So stupid.

Gosh why did I open my big mouth again?!

I ruined everything.

"Beth ! I'm talking to you!" Caroline snaps her fingers.

"Oh gosh sorry" rubbing my hands together.

"Whats up with that? Still thinking about Jacob?" she teased.

"No and why would I? he doesn't care so neither will I"

"Yeah that's really obvious" she said sarcastically.

"Shut up slut" punching her arm.

When we entered the cafeteria I glanced Jacob once again. Sitting at the table with his team, some cheerleaders joined too including Sasha.

That name, that face, those eyes, that body. I cant stand her. I already know she likes Jacob, she's with him every time I see him.

I sat with bunch of my friends "The Arts Group" we discuss everything to do with literature. It's kinda our thing.

Chris, Caroline, Jason, Zayn and I are all part of the arts club, there are about five more but we don't talk to them often. We keep our distance.

"How about we hang-out after school?" Jason proposes. He is quite handsome.

"I'm out"I raise my hand.

"Why? Come on Beth, you never go out with us" Caroline whines.

"You guys know what I have with my parents and Leo, they just need an excuse to kick me out!" I shout.

"Sorry I forgot" Caroline looks at me with that puppy dog face of hers.

They end up talking about their plans after school, I've always felt left out.

My life isn't that easy. I don't just go and ask my parents for permission to go out. I barely go out and when I do it's either with my brother or my dad.

I got bored with them discussing their plans so I head to class. I have Biology next. When I enter class I'm surprised to find Jacob there. Biology and Literature are the only classes we take together. His face is laying on the desk with his eyes closed. I'm terrified ... Is something wrong with him?

I stand right beside his desk trying to figure out whats wrong with him.

"He is just asleep don't wake him" Jimmy whispers behind me.

I turn around to find Jimmy close, almost too close. I nod and back away from him trying to keep distance just when he gets closer.

"Are you okay?" He whispers.

"Yeah I'm fine, I ..."

"You seem nervous" He looks at me with wide eyes. For seconds I'm immobile. He is getting closer and I'm not comfortable anymore. I'm about to collapse any second.

"I'll get you some water you seem sick" He suggests. I nod then he heads back to cafeteria.

This is the time to run. I'm perfectly fine. He just caught my off-guard and I didn't know what to respond to all his questions. Well, now that I think about it I do have a fever. Before I could think of anything else I glance Jimmy coming back with a bottle of water.

"Here. Drink you'll be fine" He assures me.

"Thank you" I take a sip then notice Jacob moving. He is about to wake up.

" I will go now. Thanks again" Jimmy gives me a small smile. Before he could say anything else I exit the room leaving Jimmy there confused. I know I am.
