Eve pov
6 years later
The hot coffee warms up my hands. I tap my foot nervously. The airport is crowded. Bunch of other people are waiting for their loved ones alongside me. Ugh why is New Zealand so cold. I hoped they packed enough. Maybe we have to go shopping together. Me and Ash can get matching sweaters. I smile to myself just thinking about it. I tip toe trying to see where they are. I can't see them.
Where are they?
Why are they so slow?
"Babe!"
My heart jumps as I see him. He looks tired, the journey has took a toll on him. His hair is tied back in a bun. The same dimples and honey eyes stare at me.
He dropped his bags and came running at me.
I jumped into his arms. Tears flow down my face but this time they are happy tears. He grips me tighter in his hug.
"I missed you so much," he says.
I giggle " I missed me more".
I give him a peck on the cheek. He takes that moment to sneak in a real kiss. We giggle helplessly as we kiss. Both of us are too happy to do a proper one, it's more of a mush of our faces.. I run my fingers through his hair and hum happily. He wraps his arms around my waist.
He gives me another kiss before we hear a cough behind us.
It's Anshia rolling her eyes. Her long hair is gone, replaced by short hair with blonde highlights. She gags at me and Ash.
"Can you guys show any respect for single people". She rolls her eyes as I go to hug her. "Oh no, why don't you hug your boyfriend. Huh. Just forget the fact that I'm the reason you guys meet".
I hug her and say " Yes, Yes I know. I love you too".
She huffs "You better. Come on, you have to take us to your house cause I'm exhausted".
I lead them to my car. Anshia decided to study in New Zealand while Ash got a job offer here. I screamed in excitement when he told me over call. I got my own place so we are heading over there. Ash said he is looking at apartments so Anshia and him don't bother me. But honestly I don't care. I'm happy that he's just here.
Anshia yells "I'm sitting up front. I aint putting up with your lovey dovey crap". Ashwin protests but Anshia already sits down.He pouts as he sits in the back.
"I cant believe youre separating me from my little spark" Ash whined.
"Ew stop it with the nicknames. God I need to wash my ears with holy water".
"Anshia you can't separate me from my one true love" I tease.
"Eve not you too, okay fine fine im sitting at the back" She got and moved back.
Ash laughed and got in the front seat.
I smile and start the car.
Anshia sticks out her tongue. "Okay Anshia don't be like that who knows maybe you will find someone".
She snorts "Yeah right I'm just here to get my degree and your guys wedding".
My face heats up "Anshia!".
"What you two are so in love just get married already".
She eyes Ashwin.
"You are lucky I'm driving and not wacking you" I mutter. My face feels so hot. Ughhhhh why did she do that. Ash just smiles and giggles.
"What are you smiling about?" I ask.
He raises his hands in defence,"Nothing".
"It isn't nothing what is it" I push on.
"Not telling," He says.
"Isn't rule number one in a relationship is to always tell your significant other everything?" Anshia adds.
"Anshia, shut up you're single and yet you're giving the dating advice" Ash snaps.
"Coaches don't play".
"You just stole that off the internet"
"And what if I did. What are you gonna do about it".
The both of them start arguing again. I smile, I missed this.
"You two stop fighting. Do you want food?".
"I'm down. What's there" Anshia said, forgetting about the fact she was having a go at Ash.
"Umm either chinese or mcdonalds".
"Chinese" Anshia and Ash say in unison.
"Chinese it is then" I chuckle.
Third person pov
Meanwhile high in the heavens, Lakshmi and the angel were watching everything from above.
Lakshimi couldn't stop grinning at the sight of her brother and Eve finally being reunited. The angel smiled as she walked up to her.
"Ah it felt like those 6 years were 6 days" Lakshmi sighed.
"It feels like that in heaven my dear. Awww those two are so cute together".
A giggle escaped Lakshimi,"Although Anshia looks sick of them".
"I mean the third wheel between those wouldn't be fun" the angel added and took a seat next to Lakshimi.
Lakshmi laughed."She's going to university . You know that girl is so smart although I wish she didn't have the desire to please everyone" she sighed.
"Don't worry she will get some help for that".
"From who?"
Lakshmi looked at the angel confused. The angel smirked and gave a knowing look. Lakshmi understood immediately.
"Ahahahaha looks like the matchmaking season isn't over" Lakshmi giggled.
"Oh it's far from that" the angel smirked.
"Do I get a sneak peek?"
"Now you can't spoil the fun for the readers' '. The angel winked.
"Tsk that's fair but surely I will get something a little seek peek surely".
"Well lets just say, rivals to lovers happen to be the author's favourite trope but that's not the point, it looks like this story is coming to an end. And a new one is coming soon" The angel said.
Lakshmi clapped her hands in excitement "Oh this is gonna to be so much fun".
The end......for now
authors note: bro its so weird that its over. like this story is done and dusted. I wrote this story thinking it was just going to be a personal one. Fun fact this is the first story I have actually finished. There something about finishing a story, posting it and seeing how people all over the world read and enjoy it. As I said before I am working on a sequel to this starring Anshia. I actually was going to write along side girl in the mirror but between editing chapters and school work I didn't get time. Now this is over I'm going to be spending time working on it and polishing it to became even better than this one.
Thank you to all my amazing readers who were there from the start. It really means a lot seeing how readers keep coming back to this each time I post. You guys really mean a lot to me and I'm sending virtual hugs and kisses to you guys.
Love y'all and have a amazing day
