Eighteen: Arguments and Misunderstandings.

May13th. Ten am. 

Diluc, Kaeya, and Thoma all walked to Venti's room, one carefully knocking on the door, and Venti opened it, "Oh, hi!" He smiled, as Thoma leans down, engulfing him in a hug, "Pardon the mess, wheres Albedo?" He asks, making Kaeya sigh, "Hes caught up at school, don't worry about it." Kaeya smiles, "No Xiao?" He asks, sitting on the bed, as Venti walked to him, hugging Kaeya, pulling him into the bed, and just hugging him,

"No, i told him to go hang out with friends, he cant spend all his time here with me, i already scared him enough." Venti explained, "Somethings going to happen, i have no idea what, how good or bad, but somethings gonna happen." He said, laying his head on Kaeya's chest, listening to his healthy breathing, "And id prefer him away if its bad." 

Kaeya nods, and Thoma sits on the bed, and gently takes Venti's hair, braiding it. Diluc sits on the chair, watching his friend and lover, "How bad was it?" He asks, and Venti sighed, "Bad...Ive begun to hallucinate, I'm seeing Klee, i saw...Something, an angel, which i highly doubt, something with wings, i don't know, the stroke was bad itself, hell, i died for like, five minutes. I'm signing a DNR if it happens again and I'm brought back." The room fell silent, and Kaeya sighed, putting a hand over his eyepatch, "I think Albedo's cheating on me." Venti looked up, "Wait, what? What do you mean??" 

"They've been staying out late, sometimes not coming home, he seems uninterested in me, last night he came home smelling like beer, and he was a mess, and i just left, to Luc's. I couldn't face him." 

"Would he do that? Knowing your past?" And Kaeya shrugged, "Fuck if i know, i dont wanna lose them, but i just...What if I'm right?" "Then ill kick his ass!" Venti said, sitting up, making Thoma frown, "They should know better! They know your past and promised!" 

Thoma resumes braiding Venti's hair, "Thats true, Kaeya, you need to talk to him," He pitched in. 

Kaeya sighs, "I know, but i just, i don't know." 

"Kae, you need to, youll sit here feeling like shit. It affects you more than you think, me and Diluc, we did long distance for a year while i worked in Inazuma, we couldnt solve anything if neither of us talked, or brought it up. Its hard to keep these to yourselves." Thoma answered, and Kaeya nods, "Yeah, i guess...I- I'll bring it up at home i guess...Whe- if  he comes home." 

Venti sighs, "I'll give him a good talking to, when i see him next." He spoke, yawning, a sting of pain in his chest from the action, "No, you won't. Worry about your own relationship." Thoma pokes Venti's chest, and he huffs, "Fiiine."

Kaeya sits on the living room chair, staring out the window, and the familiar keys jingling made him look at the door, a soft sigh leaving his lips, his chest was heavy with anxiety. Soon Albedo walked in, taking his shoes off, sitting them in a corner, hanging their bag up, and putting his keys in a bowl. 

He smiles up at Kaeya softly, "Hello, my love." And Kaeya smiles softly, "Uhm...We need to have a talk. I want...to take a break," He whispered, "What...?" Albedo asks softly, sitting in front of Kaeya's seat, "Look, all these late nights out, rarely having times to ourselves, you come home late, sometimes dont even come back, and last night you came home a mess, you're gone five to...four am, or later, no text, when we started dating, i accepted the teacher mess, but...this lingering feeling, that we just...we need a break...maybe a...a permanent one." Kaeya refused to look up into his lovers eyes, "Kaeya, darling, i love you, i dont wanna hurt you." They explain, their heart aching, panic settling into his own chest, shaky exhales,

"But you love being a teacher more." He says, looking at Albedo, "No! No, i don't! Please, don't do this, we can talk it out, can't we?"

"Damn it, Albedo! You don't understand! You're keeping things from me! We don't talk like we used to! We don't have our intimate moments anymore! We never see each other in the day, you favor your teaching! Or whoever you're with late at night!" Kaeya yelled, standing up, and Albedo did as well, "Who the hell would i be out late with?!" Albedo snapped back, "I don't know! I dont know anymore, Albedo! Okay!? I'm trying to see where i fucked up here! I'm trying to see whether i was enough for you, and you just got tired of me! And have me around because of pity! Like, some rag toy or something! I know i don't have a great family, i know i was disowned, i know i was abv$ed growing up, i remember that everytime i look in the mirror, all i see is this scared, pathetic excuse," He gestures to his body, tears falling down the right side of his face, "Ive tried!" 

Albedo sighs, he's never seen Kaeya snap the way he just did, but, everyone has a breaking point.

"Kaeya-"

"I'm sorry but i just- i cant take more restless nights like this, i cant take more thinking youre cheating on me with some- some common whore or something!"

"Kaeya, goddamnit!!" Albedo shouted, taking Kaeya's hands, "Im not fucking cheating on you!"

The room falls silent, and Kaeya wipes his face, sniffling, "You're not?" His voice broke, and he choked back a sob, and Albedo laughed, "No! I promise, i wouldnt do that to you, one, because i want to marry you!" They said, letting Kaeya's hands go, reaching into his back, sifting through it. And he stumbled back to Kaeya, holding a box.

"I do not love teaching more than you. I wanna marry you, and i wouldnt see the light of day if i hurt you, Thoma would make sure of that." He hugs Kaeya, placing a soft kiss of his forehead, and Kaeya let out a sob against their chest...
