"Are you insane!?" I raised my voice at Hu Tao, who was sitting in the back corner of the cave.

I fold my arms, giving the Funeral Director a deadly stare, Hu Tao was hugging her knees as she was whimpering. I don't like seeing her upset, but she really did something unworldly.

I raised a hand to rub my temple. "Oh my Yaksha, do you not know that Ajax can smell out blood?"

This is the first time in a while that I raised my voice, last time I did this. I don't want to remember it. Just the thought makes me on edge.

How can she be this clueless? She's not thousands of years old like myself, but she should at least have some clue of the world around her.

Tartaglia has heightened senses. He can smell blood form miles away, does she not know he is a vampire? How doesn't she?

Hu Tao said she buried the blade in snow, which, he can still smell that. He's probably on his way here now.

I'm starting to lose my patience and hospitality for her. Just don't do things without thinking, that's how I was taught.

"You have every right to be harsh on her but don't you think this is a little-"

"This is not being harsh." I breathe out and give the traveler-Lumine-a side glance. Her amber eyes fixated on myself.

I walk towards Lumine, she takes a step back but stops once I get closer to her. My body inches away from hers as I tilt my head downwards slightly to look into her eyes.

She must've read my mind because she answered my question that I never said aloud.

"She was sucking air through her teeth as she was cutting." She says and averts eye contact, her beautiful eyes staring down at the cold ground.

"And making...." She tilts her leg slightly. "moaning noises, kind of."

I let out a small hum and use my dominant hand to reach up for her chin, tilting her face up to look back into mine.

Our height difference isn't drastic, but it's nice. It's warming in a sense. A feeling I haven't felt in a lifetime.

My eyes narrow as I notice her cheeks turn a dusted shade of rouge.

"Look" I sigh. "You should just get rest."

I hold out my arm to the side of myself and summon my polearm, my weapon of choice. It's mostly green with some other green glowing accents, I remember this was a gift from someone special hundreds of years ago.

Time really does change creatures.

"I'll stay outside and keep watch." My gaze stares into Lumine's as her pupils shrink down to a tiny size. She has to be from another world, she doesn't look like she's from around here.

She hasn't eaten anything either, Hu Tao told me she hasn't eaten anything at Ajax's castle. Wouldn't she be dead? Yes, yes she would.

Her golden eyes remind me of the sand that is on Liyue's beaches, oh how I miss my home, the Inn, and the beautiful starconch collection I used to have.
