Miles and Tony were talking to the guards about the plan. The guards were to stay down the road, they'd only come to the house if they heard five rapid gunshots. Then and only then they could come to the house and help.
I grabbed all the weapons that we would need for this mission. The bag of materials was heavy but I managed. Tony walked back over to me and helped along with Alexander. Alexander was Miles's best guard making him the captain of the guards. Not once did Alexander fail miles. It was pretty impressive.
"Thanks," I said as I grabbed the bag and threw the bag over my shoulder. Miles and Tony walked over in sync. "Need some help, pretty girl?" Tony asked with a smirk. I rolled my eyes "No, I got it" I walked away with the bag in my hands. I stumbled around due to the heavy amount of stuff in this bag.
"Jesus Christ, Simon be careful" Alexander scowled and walked over to me. I smiled softly and asked for help and he agreed. Why are the older man and the 19-year-old girl doing the hard work?
Because their pussies that's why- shut up subconscious. The feeling of worry came back, I bit on my nails feeling relief as I did so.
I thought about only the good. Miles and Tony helped Alexander with the bags of weapons and talked about the other important things.
I grabbed my knives and made sure the band was safely attached to my thigh. "Simon, it's 3 we must go now" Miles placed his hand on the small of my back grabbing my attention.
I sucked in a sharp yet shaky intake of breath and turned around. "Let's go"
Miles nodded and signaled to everyone that the plan was now in motion. Miles gave me one last look before running down the road towards the gates. I ran in the same direction but towards the back of the house. I had I crowbar in my bag that was hanging down from my shoulder.
The crowbar would help me break the back door so Matteo could safely get out. I continued to run all the while trying to avoid getting caught. I had to jump the gate, which wasn't easy. I got closer to the house, the trees were my only source of hiding.
As I was moving through the bushes I accidentally cut my leg on something. "Ah shit" I held my leg, and a tiny trail of blood trickled down my leg. I rolled my eyes and continued to move. I couldn't stay in one place for too long.
I finally reached the backside of the house. The back door was farther down but I was close. The lake was only a few steps away, just as I remembered.
The big door was in my line of vision. I slowly walked over, my footsteps light and not attracting sound.
The only sound that was heard where the crickets that were chirping. The moonlight shines and is the only source of light. I dropped my bag once I reached the door.
