Sitting up in the bed, the soreness kicked. Memory's of last night flashed throughout my mind. I looked over to see a beautiful sight. Miles was still asleep. I've don't think I've ever seen him sleep. He looked peaceful.
This jet black hair was a messy, his mouth was slightly agape as he let out soft snores. His long eyelashes were showcased from his eyes being closed. The sunlight peeked through the black curtains creating a glow upon his flawless skin.
I giggled now noticing that he was taking up half of the bed, And here I thought I'd take up the entire bed. And then I remembered something, we're finally officially together.
Holy shit.
No way in hell was this real. The Miles Evanston is officially mine. It all felt so unreal. Then miles started shifting around, he brought his body closer to mine. I lifted my hand to touch his face but then the ringing sound of the doorbell interrupted me, I nearly poked miles in the eye.
His eyes shot open. "Simon?" He asked trying to adjust to the light of the room . "Yeah it's me" I smiled at his sleepy state. "I'm tired" he whispered and closed his eyes again.
"Sleep baby, I'll get the door" I kissed his cheek before getting up and exiting the room. Once I reached the entry way I opened the door, not expecting who was standing in front of me.
His blonde hair neatly placed and gelled. He was wearing a suit but had his suit jacket in his hand. His green eyes pierced into mine.
"Cory" I said his name. My giddy mood was immediately replaced with a bad one. "What the fuck are you doing here" I asked with anger laced in my tone.
"Simon please, let me- "you have some fucking nerve calling me by my first name, that's Mrs. Evanston to you" I cut him off. His eyebrow pinched together but he let a out a breath and nodded. "Mrs Evanston, please allow me to explain myself" he corrected himself.
"And why would I allow you to explain, I don't want to see you Cory, you lied to me for years! I grieved your dumbass" I shouted but not loud enough to wake up Miles.
"Si- Mrs. Evanston, if you'd just let me explain your understand why I did what I did" he sighed defeatedly. I felt bad for him, he was my best friend for years. He made me feel something after my mothers death.
"Fine, come inside" i said and opened to door wider for him to come inside. "Thank you" he nodded his head and walked inside as I shut the door behind him.
We walked into the kitchen and he sat on one of the stools, I sat on the counter next to him. He played with his hands in his lap.
"Still the same Simon I remember" he gestured to me sitting on the counter. I laughed lightly before quickly shutting up. "Explain, Cory" I said sternly.
