Her Goon// Dean Portman// Book 1

"Long distance will work, right?"

We were all in Charlie's backyard. We had gotten back to Minnesota yesterday. I was trying to stay happy but everyone was leaving tomorrow. That means no more Dean. Luckily it isn't that far a drive only like 4 hours. But it's still gonna be hard.

"Uh Charlie?" Goldberg said. He had lit his marshmallow on fire.

"Woah you not supposed to light it on fire!" Charlie yelled hitting the marshmallow with a bag. We all laughed and I laid my head on Deans shoulder, he then put his arm around me.

"I've paid my dues, time after time I've done my sentence. But commuted no crime." Averman started to sing.

"And bad mistakes. I've made a few. I've had my share of sand kicked in my face but I've come through." We all started to sing along.

Dean let go of me, getting on the ground hitting it. "And it goes on and on and on and on, we are the champions my friends. And we'll keep on fighting till the end. We are the champions! We are the champions! No time for losers because we put the champions of the wolrdddd." We dragged on the end. All laughing at the end.

I woke up with a queasy feeling in my stomach. Today was the day. We were leaving. I was leaving Dean. I felt a tear slip down my cheek but quickly wiped it away. I look over at Julie she was still asleep. I look over at the clock. 10:24. I sighed getting up.

"Julie." I whispered shaking her slightly. She stirred opening her eyes. She sat up and smiled.

"We have to leave today." She said her smile dropping.

"Yeah we do." She paused tearing up, "I'm gonna miss you so much!" She said giving me a big hug.

"Julie you're the bestest friend anyone could ask for I literally love you so much." I said crying.

"I love you too." She sobbed.

We were walking around the airport, Dean and I. Some people had already left, Dwayne, Julie had left. Russ and Kenny were on the same flight they had left too. I had little tears trickling down my cheeks. Dean had two hours till boarded. Me only forty minutes.

We walked into a Airport restaurant and sat down.

"So how are we gonna do this, I mean long distance." Dean brought up grabbing my hands across the table.

"I don't know. I'll try to call you everyday. And summer's coming soon. If we really wanted to. We could both drive two hours to see each other." I smiled at the idea. We'd meet halfway.

"That's not a bad idea." He smiled. We got our food and ate and talked until it was time to go back.

I had hugged almost everyone but it got down to the last three that we're gonna be really hard.

"I'm gonna miss you." Fulton hugged me.

"Me too Fulton."

"I just wanted to let you know. I think of you as a little sister, so that's means you need to call me to say hi at some point." He said giving my a little piece of paper. His number. I giggled and hugged him again.

"And don't cry." He said wiping my tears from my face. I moved on to Connie.

"I don't know what I'm gonna do without you or Julie here." Connie gave me a really tight squeeze. Tears rolling down her cheeks.

"Im going to miss you so much Connie it's insane. Im gonna call you anytime I'm free!" I said looking into her eyes. She nodded and let go. I took a deep breath and walked to Dean.

He was crying. "Deany don't cry." I said putting my hand to his face.

"I'm gonna call you every single fucking day. Even if you don't answer and even if I'm too busy." He smiled a sad smile.

"Hey I'll answer every time." He smiled kissing my lips.

"Harley?" He said breaking the kiss.

"Hm?"

"I love you. And you will always be the one I love." He said looking into my eyes.

"I love you too Dean. We're going to make things work. I'll make sure of it." I said. He smiled again.

He kissed me one more time and we hugged. "Flight 438 you're boarding now." The intercom said.

"I love you." He whispered.

"Love you too." I said. I kissed him and walked off. Tears were rolling down my cheeks as I got off the plane. I didn't know what I was going to do without the team. They were my best friends. And Dean, I love him. But long distance will work, right?

OML. This book that I've loved so much. Is sad to say over. :(((. I'll try to make the D3 book very soon. The first chapter will be uploaded in the next two days or so. I'll keep you guys updated for that! I hope you all really enjoyed this book. -cat
