The wind blew up her hair. It was a little aggressive. She closed her eyes at the impact.
People were talking and laughing with each other. Kids were running to catch the bubbles around. Vendors waiting someone to buy something from them. Some couples were cuddling. Students who were practicing for their performance.
And someone who is minding her own business.
Her gaze browse the whole area. One by one she look at everyone's faces. The only thing that she noticed with them is the happiness that were written on their face.
They are happy.
She wish she could be like that too.
The wind once again blew her hair. But this time it was not that harsh. She closed her eyes to feel the breeze on her skin.
"Wow! You look so pretty!"
A child went to her.
She open her eyes to look at the child. It was smiling at her like she was the most beautiful thing it ever seen. The child went closer, focusing on her.
"You're really pretty. Like you came out from a fairy-tale books that my brother keeps on telling me. What's your name?"
The child sits beside her.
"I'm Lauren. How about you cutie?"
She can't help to feel glad that she's talking to someone right now. She's always lonely.
"I'm Pajre. You know what, my brother said that once you seen the hues of someone, your mind will never forget it. I guess he is right. Because you're hues are glowing right now."
She had received such precious, blissful words yet she was oblivious.
She chuckled at the child's statement.
"You're glowing too right now. The dress look good on you." She patted the girl's soft hair. The eyes were still focused on her, honey colored eyes were dilating. The sun light makes it more visible, pleasing to look at.
"I know. I want to be like a princess."
"You're already a princess."
She smiled at Pajre.
"No. I'm still working to be one. Anyways, you're really really pretty. If I was a boy, I will probably date someone like you."
She laughed. How can a child think about dating things nowadays?
"You shouldn't think about things like that. I swear, you wouldn't like to date anyone if you're at my age. The world is too cruel and the reality will make you feel like you didn't belong here."
Lauren stopped herself from saying more. She's thinking that she's corrupting the child's mind.
"You should enjoy being a kid."
I wish I can turn back the time when I was at her age. I want to make the right things. Because right now, I might not be able to make it right.
"But I want to be an adult already."
Her eyes went to the sky above.
"You shouldn't wish that either."
And when she looked at the kid, it was frowning at her. She chuckled.
"You wouldn't understand what I'm saying because you're not yet an adult."
