LISA POV
I spent all night on Rosé's laptop researching Jennie's cancer.
What might help her , trying to find expect doctors , which country has the best doctors , I spent all night noting things down
"Dude get some sleep" jisoo sighs as she tries to sleep beside me
"Look Chu it says to calm cancer pain , meditation , massages , yoga and hypnotherapy is good for relaxation" I turn to her
Jennie would probably punch me if I suggested for her to do Yoga
"You know Jennie won't do any of that? Ask her to let you massage her though that might be a good one" jisoo sits up
"Did you find out about any good Doctors?" She asks me
"I have links , I'm a CEO mate , I can find one I'm in the business industry it's just trusting people , do I trust these people if we find someone really good who would actually treat her , it isn't something to like think overnight, Jennie's life is at risk" I say as I sigh , we can't just pick any doctor we need to think this through but time is on our hands and we can't take the piss.
"And some of them only want money too Lisa, you have a lot of that , you pay them after she's cured because then they'll actually work hard to cure Jennie" jisoo says
Even if the money was my whole net worth I would sell my arms and legs for her to be okay , I wasn't a CEO when I married her and she still loved me regardless of our financial situation.
"Let's make some calls" Jisoo says as we spend the whole night making calls to private doctors from across the world.
After such a sleepless night we found 3 doctors we liked , one in particular Jisoo seemed to believe was the best one , I was still skeptical but once we called him again and questioned him he had all the answers we were looking for.
"I think we found a good one" I slap Jisoo's shoulder in excitement and she slaps me back as we dance in the room in happiness, I gave this man a full check , I had my assistant check his previous records , I know I shouldn't of woken her up in the middle of the night but I had to and she did it for me.
We end up getting an hour of two of sleep until I drove back home to shower and get changed and do some other things.
Then I drive over to Jennie's , she opens the door and pops her head out
"A new car?" She looks at me and then the car like she's shocked or confused
I did become the CEO at the end , and you always believed in me and that's what kept me going.
"Yeah it's easier for you to get in , don't worry my assistant is getting your car back from South London" I say to her as she chuckles in disbelief
"You got a whole new car because I couldn't get out of your big one?"
"Yes I did , is that a problem?" I cross my arms , I try to be a bit playful so I don't prove her point of me being broken about her having cancer , although I know she can see my sleepless eyes.
"So you did become the CEO I knew it" she moves away from the door so I can come in
"I did , did you take your meds?" I jump on her couch feeling slightly tired
"Yeah I did"
"Should I believe you?" I look at pretending to be intimidating which she shakes her head at my playful behaviour and chuckles
"Where's Jisoo?" She asked
"She's still fast asleep , we found this doctor he's in America , he's legit , and he's willing to treat you" I say to her which makes her smile die down
"And costs?" She looks at me
"That's not your problem , I'll deal with that" I respond
"And if it doesn't work and you wasted all that money" she says to me
"What money will go to waste? you think money is important I want you to be better I don't care about the money" I argue back
"Lisa , Jin is an expert in this stuff too , he's tried everything he can , he even flew down to London to treat me again , I've gone through all the treatments it isn't worth wasting our time there's nothing we could do" she argued back at me with a heavy sigh after that
"We won't know until we try Jennie , I'll pay for Jin's ticket so he can fly back to New Zealand , we're going to America next week" I respond to her as she looks like she's had enough of all of this.
"And then after that you can come home" I add
She didn't respond , instead she storms off but it angered me
"Stop acting like you don't love me Jennie" I yell which makes her stop
"I don't want to fight anymore , I've given up , I'm tired , my body's tired , I lost my head a long time ago , yes I'm still in love with you fuck sake Lisa but I can't keep fighting for something that's holding on by a string" she says as tears nearly fall from her eyes
"Fight for me then Jennie , if you love me you'll fight for me"
"I love you and that's why I left you LISA , that was my love for you , don't you fucking understand , my brain just tells me I'm going to die soon , I'm losing my fucking mind, I can't do this anymore" she sobs as she runs her hands through her hair
"Don't you understand I did all of this because I love you , I left London , I left the love of my life , because all I wanted was for you to be okay without me , I DONT WANT TO LEAVE I NEVER WANTED TO LEAVE" she says as my tears begin streaming I run to her as I pull her in for a tight hug
"No Lisa don't do this to me please, you need to go" she fights me off but I shake my head "no no" I say stubbornly like a child " I am not leaving you , get that through to your head , I won't let you go , time will heal everything , I know your tired , I'm here to take care of you , you won't be alone Jennie please do this for me" I beg her
She drops her head back as more tears come out as she begins crying even more hysterically
I take the chance to wipe her tears as I bring her head closer to mine
"I promise you , I'll show you life is worth living again Nini" I say as I close my eyes before any more tears come out.
