The brunette stretched her arms and tried to breath out the frustration in her body - she looked around in the office to see if anyone noticed and Irene was starring at her. They had been working at the same job for almost three years now, she was in a different department but their work always collided. 

Something needed to be checked, confirmed or passed on. That’s how they got to know each other, it started with long evenings or early meetings - and after a while they started to grow a friendship.

Today Lisa can understand why Roseanne hated it so much, honestly she had been blind and didn’t understand much at the time. She was still recovering from the accident and it was hard facing her wife - and it didn’t make it easier when Roseanne kept checking on her, asking questions she couldn’t answer…or just the fact that Lisa knew she was hurting her even more and she never wanted that, she had just needed some time. 

Therefore it was easier being around Irene, not because she had any other motives back then but her current girlfriend didn’t make her feel like she was gonna break every time she looked at her. She didn’t wanna hurt Roseanne - and she never planned to get into a relationship with Irene but everything happened so quick. 

Lisa took another deep breath, it had been hard for her to focus on work all week - the field trip had taken a toll on her. Roseanne had been pushing her, more than she had ever done since their divorce and it was bothering her - her mind kept wondering away - thinking about what happened two years ago. 

Luckily for Lisa, Roseanne had seemed to be avoiding her for the rest of the weekend - hopefully the heated conversation had been enough for her as well. The brunette wasn’t alone with Roseanne after Lucy interrupted them - her ex spent the evenings working outside on the porch until Lisa fell asleep - or at least that whats the blonde thought. But how the hell was she suppose to sleep well in a small cabin next to her ex-wife? 

Lisa brushed the memory flashing in front of her, the silhouette of Roseanne in the dark undressing - how she tried to look away but hadn’t been able to. Lisa shook her head, she had to stop thinking about that and focus her eyes on the computer screen in front of her. 

Damn, she was used to blame Roseanne for what happened with their marriage because seeing her with someone else was the breaking point for her. The last thing she wanted was to loose Roseanne and that completely destroyed her. Maybe she knew she hadn’t made it easy for Roseanne when she came back from the hospital but…no, she was not gonna feel guilty… not now, not after all this time.

Roseanne cheated on her.

”LEVI?” Lisa was dressed in a sport outfit and waited for him patiently in the hallway, she also blamed her ex for how picky they where with getting ready. It always took them forever to put on some clothes.

”Mom!” He rushed up from the lower floor with a huge smile. ”Josh invited me to go play with his friends, can I go?” He almost jumped by excitement.

”I thought we where gonna play basketball?” Lisa looked at him surprised.

”I know, but we always play - can I go with him today?” Levi was eager and even if it made Lisa a bit sad she couldn’t say no to that happiness.

”I guess, ask him where I should drop you off…” Lisa swallowed her pride. ”Lucy, come on get your shoes on”

”But I’m playing” Lucy yelled from the living room.

”You can play later” Lisa sighed. ”Come on”

”I don’t wanna watch you play” Lucy was moody today.
