Chapter 6: Sneaking

Reece and I walked home together. I was falling for him, and I think he was too. I liked him, but it could never happen. Not in a million years would my dad and Lyndsey approve. They weren't home for another 30 minutes yet so Reece and I sat on the sofa. He took out the laptop from under the sofa and opened up YouTube. We watched s few funny videos before he turned round and spoke to me.

"I'm sorry, for shutting you out a lot" Reece said.

"You read my diary didn't you" I asked my face going a rosy shade of red. Reece just nodded and smiled looking down to his lap.

"I like this" Reece looked up breaking the silence. He took my hand in his as we both smiled. He began to slowly lean in and I didn't let my thoughts get in the way. We kissed, it wasn't a passionate kiss, just a sweet kiss for about 6 seconds. We heard murmurs come from the kitchen and doors shut. We immediately pulled away and let our hands go. Reece focused on the laptop after he wiped his lips. Probably making sure there wasn't any lipgloss.

"Hello, home early?" Lyndsey asked as they both walked in.

"We finished earlier than we expected" Reece replied nodding. I just nodded and smiled lightly. The room fell into an awkward silence.

"Well I'm knackered, night all" Reece broke the silence standing up and walking to his room.

"Yup I'm knackered too, night dad, night Lyndsey" I smiled hugging them both. I ran upstairs, Reece was just walking into his. He smiled and winked at me before closing his door. I walked into my room and changed into some comfortable clothes. I put on plain grey joggers and a baggy white top. I kept my socks on and brushed through my hair. I took off most of my makeup, keeping some of it on. I can't believe I just kissed Reece though. He's my step brother? Is it even right? Should I be doing this? I don't even know. I wanted to do it though. I really liked him. I heard footsteps making there way upstairs. I listened out for my parents to walk upstairs and listened for their bedroom door to shut. Once it did I quietly opened my door, snuck down the hallway and opened Reece's door. I closed the door behind me and smirks when we made eye contact. He was sitting at his desk on his phone. He smirked and placed his phone down on his desk. He stood up turning around and walked towards me as I walked towards him. I stood at the bottom of his bed and he stood infront of me. I gazed into his big blue eyes as he cupped my face. He leaned in and our lips collided. This is where my secret relationship with my step brother started.
