Chapter 26: Broken

I sat on a bench,not able to do anything else but cry. I was late for school but I couldn't face anyone. That was it. My life was over. Reece and I were over. My dad is going to hate me. We will have to move away and I won't ever see Reece or Lyndsey again. Why does Trevor have to wreck everything?! Literally everything.

"Lee..." I heard someone sniffle from beside me. I turned to see Reece. I stood up and ran into his arms. Tears streaming down my cheeks.

"I love you so much Lia, this isn't the end of us okay?" He said.

"Okay" I mumbled into his jacket. Knowing this was probably one of the last hugs I'll ever get with Reece for a while completely and utterly breaks me. I'm broken.

"I don't care anymore" Reece said taking my hand in his.

"Let's go, together walk into school as a couple. They can't do anything, we aren't related it's not illegal and the only reason we were scared to tell everyone was because of My mum and your dad" He admitted.

"Your right, we shouldn't be ashamed of our relationship. If we do get split up after this we will find a way..wont we?" I asked him nervously. He turned to face me cupping my face.

"Of course we will" He smiled placing a small kiss on my cheek. I smiled in response and placed my hand in his again. It was lunch so everyone was outside or in the school halls. Here goes nothing. We walked through the school grounds.

"What the fuck aren't they related?"

"That's just weird"

Was all I could hear. Reece squeezed my hand for comfort.

"They are related that's odd"

Reece turned round to the group that said it.

"I'm sorry but last time I checked going out with someone your not blood related or through marriage related too isn't illegal, and if you haven't already caught on Lia and I are none of the listed" Reece snapped before turning back to me. The whole grounds must of heard that as they all shut up. We walked into the building insults thrown at us constantly. Then we saw Trevor, his devious smirk changed into a frown when he saw Reece and I being open about our relationship.

"What are you doing?" He asked.

"Getting on with our life's what about you?" Reece asked sarcastically causing everyone in the hallways to laugh. Seems to me that the word has gotten round about what Reece said and everyone is starting to come around to it.

"Do you know what dad will say about this Lia?" Trevor asked trying to make me scared. Reece noticed he was intimidating me and wrapped his arm around me.

"Yes she does, but does it look like she gives a fuck? No so move" Reece said shoving past him.

"You know you'd think after all those drugs you took last weekend that you'd be in hospital by now, your doing well bro" Reece sarcastically added waving to Trevor. Everyone in the hallway was now talking about Trevor and how he took drugs, good one Reece.

"Your amazing you know" I grinned.

"So are you" He smiled kissing me. We were cut off by someone coughing. Mr Fitzgerald.

"Am I missing something or are you two not related?" He asked seriously.

"We aren't related sir, he's my step brother" I said getting confidence.

"Do your parents know about this thing you have going on?" He asked again.

"It's personal" Reece said walking away. Did we actually just ditch a head teacher? As we were walking we saw Justin and Tiffany. They were holding hands like us.

"You didn't?" I asked Tiff getting excited.

"We did!" She squealed running up and hugging me.

"Seeing you guys earlier on and how you got through it an came back made us realize we need to come out too" Justin smiled.

"I'm proud of you guys" I said.

"We are proud of you guys too" Tiff replied as we all went into a group hug.
