Juliette has always been best friends with Nick and Matt Sturniolo, but the relationship with their brother, Chris, is more.. hateful.
Eventually as they spend more time together, they fall in love, but they just can't realise it...
I looked at him, still annoyed that he got us kicked out of the screening room, "we have 2 more hours to kill before Nick and Matt finish the movie". "fuck, I can't believe you got us kicked out".
"shut the fuck up it was all you and your clumsy ass' fault I-"
"whatever, let's just take a walk outside. I can hear you breathing and it's pissing me off".
Chris rolled his eyes, as he followed me out of the movie theatre. We walked around the street, with the street lights making only the park signs visible. "park it is" I said, gesturing to the entree across the street.
As we entered the park Chris, being the 4 year-old child that he was, ran towards the slide in the playground. I ran after him, cursing him under my breath the whole way, until I finally sat on a swing, just watching him act like a complete fool on the slide. I laughed as he got stuck on the slide, which was clearly meant for someone a third of his size and a sixth of his age.
Eventually, he finally felt the embarrassment owed to any 18 year old who acted like that, and sat down on the swings next to me.
"so, in my dreams that we actually had good conversation, huh?". It was hilarious to me that he was actually offended by my disregarding of the four hours we spent talking. "fine, I agree that I had an.. okay time.. with you I guess, but slander Ariana again and I WILL come for you" I said, in a genuinely threatening manner, but he just laughed, putting his hands up in the air as an admission of guilt.
"anyways, what was even going on in that movie" "yeah... it was too confusing for me. this is why my favourite movie will forever be barbie princess charm school"
"no shame in that, it's a great movie, wait uh- hum I haven-"
"HOW WOULD YOU KNOW?" "OH MY FUCKING GOD OF COURSE YOU'VE WATCHED THE BARBIE MOVIES"
"they're an emotional rollercoaster okay. I.. love princess charm school"
"I think we've found an activity for the next time we hang out"
"we?" Chris asked me, biting the inside of his bottom lip.
"well it's rude if I don't invite you now that Nick and Matt expect us to be... civil".
he just let out a hmmm, before continuing to smile whilst he was swinging.
"so.. friends huh". Chris suddenly stopped swinging, jumping off of the swing in mid air.
"more like aquaintances. Like distant distant mutual friends." I said, rolling my eyes as Chris walked up directly in front of me, extending his hand.
"okay. truce".
"truce" I said, shaking his hand uncertainly.
"ew your hand is clammy"
Chris just laughed, before winking at me with his douchey smirk, and started coming closer to me, as if he wanted a hug.
"no no NO. a handshake is good for now". Though he must have felt slightly humiliated, he just smiled, muttering "aquaintances... I'll take it I guess" under his breath.
"just shut up and push my swing now that you've gotten up". He furrowed his eyebrows, before finally caving.
