~ 6 ~

Third Person Pov:

"Where are them?!" "I dunno?!" "Have you checked-" "Yes i checked there, Jonathan." The Byers family roam around the house in search of the car keys. Luna sits at the dining table, quieter than she usually is as she throws her food away. There was still food on it.

"Found em! They were hiding under some jeans, sneaky little buggers." Bob exclaimed as he walked out towards the living room.

Walking over to Luna, Bob smiled down at Luna to see if she was alright. A simple nod was from the brown headed girl with the bangs.

So to top it off, the events of last night stirred Luna inside. Messing with her to the point she was unable to sleep. Since it was quite late, Mike suggested that Luna go home with the Byers. Partly because of Hopper and what he heard from his friend, and mostly because he secretly ships Will and Luna.

The girl slept on the couch in the living room while Will slept in his room. Or so it was to be but the two couldn't sleep at all from their nightmare overpowering them. Afraid they'll be back in the upside down. They both hung out in the living room, letting the quietness fill the room as they were up playing board games all night until Will finally went to sleep.

Wincing as she heard that voice in her head again, Will's eyes searched Luna's face immediately as she put his hand on her shoulder. "I'm fine, I promise." Luna smiled as Bob offered to drive the two to school.

The car ride was awkwardly quiet. Luna was in the backseat dozing off into her own world. Bob and Will had their own conversation which made Luna feel that empty feeling again. 'Would everything still be the same if she hadn't found her way back here, back home?'

That single question flooded her mind as that feeling washed over with control. Power. Not of her own. Hearing what Bob said about his old dream from when he was a kid, Luna entered the void as she told the shadow to go away.

Still dozing off in the backseat, Luna stirred in her seat as she felt the shadow monster pierce her arm which caused her to go back to reality.

"Oh shit- Sorry I meant shiitake mushrooms!" Bob yelled as he almost lost control of his steering due to Luna gasping awake in the backseat.

"I'm fine. I'm fine. Just choked on air for a second." Luna dismissed the two as she leaned her head back and stared out the window, trying to calm herself.

Will continued to look in the rear view mirror to check on his best friend. Lots of thought flooded his mind on what's happening to Luna. Why she's be so quiet lately since he knows that's not like her. He feels like he's slowly losing his mind because of Luna constantly being on his mind.

Once they arrived in the school parking lot, Bob dropped the two kids off. "Have a great day, kiddos! Oh uh Luna, can you come here for a second." Luna slightly smiled at Will as he waited for his best friend.

"It's okay to not be okay, Luna. I know that you know that. And sometimes you have to talk to someone in order to get whatever is on your mind out. And if you want, you can always feel free to talk to me. I don't bite." Luna lightly chuckled as she was turned around towards the school.

"Hey Luna! You have an amazing day, kiddo. Don't forget to be calm and breathe, everything is alright." Bob smiled as he drove away. Luna walked up to Will as they both entered the school.

"What did Bob say?" "Oh you know... just to have a great day and to open up more." Luna said as she could feel everyone's eyes on them. Being subconscious and slightly nervous by the attention due to her past, Luna grabbed Will's hand which shocked Will but he blushed a little as they walk inside.

Mr. Clarke talks about whatever science thing he always talks about but suddenly gets interrupted by Dustin.

"Sorry. I just had something- please continue the class." Dustin said with his voice shaky like he's out of breath.

"Meet me in the AV Club at lunch. All of us. There's something you won't believe." Dustin said as the crew agreed with him.

Luna was too busy to understand anything since she was getting terrible headaches. Close to migraines. She was doodling in her notebook until Mike tapped her on the shoulder.

"What?" "Sorry you seemed like you were dozing off or something. Just wanted to check on you-" "I am fine, okay! I don't need to be treated like I'm going to break or some shit!" Luna yelled as she grabbed her books and backpack to leave the classroom.

"Luna!" Mr. Clarke yelled but she was already gone. The crew looked at each other with a worried look, even the new girl Max. Will looked blankly at his desk and was going to go check on Luna but Mr. Clarke stopped him since it was better she calm herself.

Will sighed as he sat back down and rested his chin on his hand. Not bothering to listen but only had Luna on his mind like always.

Luna had stayed inside one of the school bathrooms that was rarely used as she'd been there the rest of the school day. Hearing something come inside the bathroom, Luna sniffed as she wiped her tears. The girl ran water in the sink and splashed her face with water to make her look somewhat normal.

Hearing some weird slimy noises, Luna turned around and saw some weird little animal on the floor by the toilet in the last stall. The door slammed open to see Will standing there. But Luna was too focused on the weird animal to acknowledge Will.

The boy took some steps to stand next to Luna as the monster growled which caused the two kids to run out.

In the hallway, the two looked both directions only for everything to turn like they were in the upside down.

Will grabbed Luna's hand as he runs with her out to the field. Seeing the shadow monster at a closer look, Will yells for it to go away. Luna tried to use her powers but the monster got ahold of her and it almost looked like it was possessing her.

Black veins appear on Luna as in reality she has the same but the two were frozen with their eyes closed. The two gasp awake until Luna collapsed as her eyes rolled to the back of her head as she fell unconscious. The monster had only taken control of her to gain her power, to take that energy towards themselves which left the poor girl unconscious in a small but somewhat deadly coma.

Who knows how long she'll be in this coma? When will she be out of it? Will she possibly die of her family and friends wake her up but with a bad effect? The shadow monster growled as he felt all this power and control.

A/N: this chapter took too long and wrote her going into a small coma bcuz i have no inspo for this season. also ST4 VOL 1 IS FCKING AMAZINGGG!!!!!
