Chapter Ten: Romantic Endings

Tatum's POV

I walk through the cemetery with my parents as we follows where my grandmother is to be buried, we decided to bury her next to her dear husband like she wanted in her will, I hold my mothers hand tightly as we arrive to her burial sight and they begin to lower my grandmother into the ground slowly

I feel tears coming down my face as I watch her Rest In Peace like she deserves, the service was great but we decided to have a family moment before we head back Auradon for the engagement party and my date for Evie

I walk away from my parents and to the six foot hole that she was now in and being buried into

"Would she be proud of me" I say as I watch them bury her

"She'd be proud of the woman and leader your becoming Tatum......every person that past on has watched you....your grandmother, your grandfather....even Ray, that's why they live on with you Tatum Rachel Eudora James" My mother says as she comes toward me

"And we both are so proud of you....you are the rightful leader of Meldonia" My father says as he walks up to us as well, I smile at them before looking to my grandmothers casket and bending down, I pick up some dirt and my parents follow suit

"Goodbye my precious angel" I say as I throw the dirt into the hole

"Goodbye my true mother" My father says as she throws his in

"Goodbye my number one fan....you got the grandkid you wanted and more to come" My mother says causing me to look at her in shock, she smiles and rubs her flat stomach, i smiles and pull her into hug as well as my father

We all embrace before walking off to head back home and plan for the dinner Evie and I have planned

Time skip

I pat Hades on the chest and smile as I watch Mal clutch the ember her father gave her, I walk over to her and smile, still dressed in my suit from my grandmothers funeral

"Finally giving him a chance" I say as i smile at her

"I want too......I really do" She says and I smile and pat her shoulder before walking into Audrey's room, I look over and see her awake causing me to smile, I greet Ben and his parents as well as Fairy godmother when Audrey finally turns to me a

"Tatum I'm so sorry I just was under so much pressure and-" Audrey goes to say but I cut her off as I bend down in front of her

"It's ok......I understand where your coming from....I'm sorry for my part as well but I hope we can be friends and you finally give love a chance with someone else" I say causing her to laugh

"I'd like if we can be friends and well.....I'll think about that" She says and I laugh with her

Time skip

I smile as I watch Ben and Mal enter and head to the top for their engagement celebration, Ben does a toast to Mal and Mal begins her speech

"I cant......I can't be queen of Auradon, we decide to close the barrier and it was my idea but it won't work, we can't live in fear because it doesn't protect you from anything so.....I don't want to be just queen of Auradon, I have to be queen of the isle" Mal says

"I agree......I was kidnapped years ago and I no longer fear that man that took me...we can't live in fear anymore" I say as Evie pulls me closer

"I agree.....so from this day....the barrier will be taken down forever" Ben says causing everyone to break out in cheers, i clap along with them and smile as change is coming even if Ben's parents are hesitant
