Quackity closed his eyes as he listened to the soft sound of the horses hooves on the dirt track.
Thud after Thud. A small crack of a stick here and there. It was way more relaxing than the screaming and clinks of swords.
He opened his eyes softly to make sure he wasn't going to ride off the track and into a tree.
"You think they got there safely? You think they're still alive?" He heard Tommy ask over the thuds.
He looked back to see the Prince behind him.
"I'm sure they're fine Tom." Quackity replied. "Bad is an amazing medic and his partner Skeppy is very handy too. They've saved me from far worse situations than what Dream and Technoblade are in.
"You've been in a worse place than major stab wounds and blood loss?" Tommy asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Wolves." Was all Quackity had to say for the prince to let out an "ah."
"Must've gotten you hard."
"I was out of it for a week and bed-bound for another two." The way Quackity said it made it sound like a major flex.
"I bet you got cool ass scars from it."
"Yep. The only upside from getting mauled by an angry pack of wolves."
The two laughed.
Quackity had a good feeling about Tommy. He seemed way more friendly and willing than his brother.
He wanted to bring it up. Ask about why his brother was so serious, but he thought it would be better to bring up later, so he left it.
He looked up ahead and saw the shadow of the house up ahead. The sun was starting to set. In fact, the sun was already down. There were only a few last rays on sun in the sky before it got fully engulfed in the darkness of night time.
When the two rode up to the house, he saw Wilbur sitting on the porch, standing as they neared.
Tommy was the first to unmount and hitch his horse before he ran to his older brother and embraced him.
"Wilbur, how are they?" Tommy asked.
Will shrugged. "As soon as we got here, Bad and Skeppy took them and locked themselves away in a room to treat them."
"And Sapnap? Where's he?" Quackity chimed in.
"He went to a spare room to patch himself up."
Quackity nodded and pushed past the two, going directly to the spare room to find Sap.
He knocked on the door softly. No response. He knocked once again and when there was nothing, he slowly opened it.
His eyes fell on his friend huddled under the blankets, sleeping peacefully.
He then drifted his eyes to the ton of bloody rags on the floor.
He closed the door slowly and then walked back outside to the two princes.
"Hey." He called, catching their attention.
"When Sap wakes up, you tell him that i went to go swap with George."
"What? Swap with George?" Tommy was clearly confused.
"I'll go meet him and Karl and take over the recovery camps. George needs to be here with Dream and Sapnap."
The princes nodded.
"Tell Bbh and Skeppy when they get out too." Quackity ordered as he got onto his horse.
