Trees surrounded him and it felt a circle of dizziness. The sky was pitch black and the strong sound of winds pierced his ears.

Someone stood in front of him. A figure about his size gazed at him, with the saddest eyes he'd ever seen. Levi had reached out and touched the other's cheek, but the figure continued to give off it's longing gaze.

"I..."

------------

"Levi! Time for breakfast hun!" His mom shouted from downstairs. Levi woke up alarmed. He groaned and slowly sat up, hunching over like a zombie.

The boy made his way downstairs and found his spot on the wooden chair. A plate of pancakes sat in front of him along with a cup of milk. Levi's mom ruffled his hair and sat at the table with him.

"Levi," She spoke taking a bite from the pancake, "are you going to play with Light today?"

Oh. Him.

Levi gave a muffled response, and his mother frowned. "I thought you wanted to make new friends, hun!" She stuffed another piece in her mouth. 'Well he's different,' He'd wanted to say but kept his mouth shut. Levi had expected a kid like him, not some weirdo. Anybody but that talk-less purple haired boy.

Once they both finished their breakfast, Levi's mom went to the neighbor's to help them settle the rest of their stuff,  and as for Levi, he went back out to the river.

Levi sat on the edge, throwing rocks he found nearby into it. He grunted. The male hadn't stop thinking about the neighbor. What was his name again? Levi thought. He knew it was something peculiar, but he couldn't put his finger on it.

Levi sighed and stood up. He wanted to stop thinking about the other. It set a sort of frustration in him that he was unfamiliar with. I wonder what's on the other side of the river? Levi looked beyond the streaming water. He'd never gone on that side, his mother didn't want him wandering off too far, but aside from that it had creeped him out.

Maybe I can go explore it today? He thought.

Wind blew his hair across his face and he gave a determined look. 'Sorry mom, I promise I'll die a handsome man' Levi mumbled. He hopped onto the rocks trying to keep his balance. "WhAaH!" Levi yelled almost falling into the river. "Stupid rocks!"

At last, he jumped onto the other side. "Ha take that!" He said blowing raspberries at the stream of water. The boy turned around and observed his surroundings. It looked similar to the side he usually played at, but he decided to look deeper.

He hoped maybe he would find treasure, or a land entirely filled with boats. Anything that he could picture to be the best world ever, he believed he would find. Well, he tried to.

He had been walking for about 20 minutes, and the more he walked, the more he thought of scary things. 'What if I can't find my way back? Is there wild animals here? Are they gonna eat me? What if little troll people come to fight me?!' Levi made a noise in the back of his throat. 'That's not possible! I would definitely beat them in a fight,' he said to himself and smirked.

The boy walked on for a bit more until his eye caught a little area the trees were circling. 'Nice,' He thought to himself sneaking up to the space.

"Aack!"

Levi's head snapped up and he hid behind a tree. 'Oh my god oh my god the trolls came to get me! I'm gonna die!' His heart raced and he covered his mouth trying to be quiet.

Something in the area was moving and making noises, and Levi was scared out of his mind. Curiosity killed the cat. The cat, going to be Levi.

The boy slowly peeked out from behind the tree and he froze. His weird neighbor was there among the flowers, holding onto his knee. 'I should've known,' Levi sneered. He was about to leave until he heard small sniffles coming from the spot.

Levi went back to check just in case, and he realized that the purple haired boys knee was scraped hard. He sighed in annoyance. Now he couldn't leave without feeling bad. Great.

Levi walked in and pretended like he barely got there. "Huh? Why are you here?" He questioned. 'Good acting Levi!' He saluted himself in his head. Light picked his head up and looked at the other who was a distance away. They stared at each other for a good few seconds until Levi broke it. "Gosh, you never talk do you?" He said. Light looked down and then to the side.

Levi walked closer and decided to question him again. "Why are you crying?"

Light pointed up and the tree and then his knee. "You fell? Pfft really proves how stupid you are," He scoffed. Light looked at him and then looked away. Levi peeked at him and sighed. "Well lucky for you, I have a bandaid in my pocket. I'll be the hero saving you from despair!" He humphed and grinned. Light looked up, slightly taken aback.

The boy dug for the bandaid and pulled it out. "I'll give it to you if you stop crying! Only losers cry," He looked at Light and then looked away embarrassed. The purple haired boy wiped his tears quickly and looked back at the other. Levi noticed that Light was waiting.

"Take it," Levi motioned his hand toward Light to hand over the band-aid. The boy gently took it and attempted at putting it on. Light was putting it on the wrong way. It bent and stuck together. Levi was pretending not to notice, but it really was killing his patience.

"How are you so dumb!" He said kneeling infront of the boy and snatched the band-aid away from him. Light jumped a bit and stared at Levi. "Here, I'll do it for you I guess. It's a hero's job to help stupid people like you," Levi sighed out and properly put the band-aid on the scrape.

"See? You put it on like that-" Levi looked up and saw the other softly smiling at the band-aid. His gaze went from his knee to Levi, and his smile widened. Levi was taken aback. More of embarrassment. He quickly looked away and stood up. His heat raced. "D-Don't get too full of yourself! Stupid weirdo!" Levi yelled and ran off. He left Light sitting there confused.

Levi laid on his bed staring at the ceiling again. His brain re-traced the memory of his neighbor. The smile he gave and the way his eyes looked so soft and admirable made Levi scream into his pillow. His face made Levi want to punch him. He was so annoying.

The boy convinced himself that he hated him, because everytime he felt a sort of joy in the other's presence, he felt like he was going to become a loser too. And he isn't a loser.

The smile came into his head again and Levi huffed. 'He better have not thought that we're friends!' Levi scrunched up his face. He was going to make sure he went to clear up the misunderstanding tomorrow.
