Maybe his goal of getting an entire picnic done with a bunch of crows around before lunch time had been a bit too optimistic. Clementine wasn't back yet with the fruit and he kept almost stepping on his feathered intruders. Shroud and Micheal we're having fun though, so maybe it wasn't all for nothing. Sighing with the wish of help, Tommy tunes back in to continue caramelizing the apples that were left. He'll make a fruit salad with the things Clem is grabbing. A knock at the door caused him to freeze up, but he'll put a 'Come in!'. The front door opens and footsteps approach the kitchen.
" Am I too early? You look busy. Also, what's with all the birds?" Tubbo stood in the kitchen doorway, eyeing the crows that cawed nearest to him.
"No, your just in time to help me." Cheekily, he waves Tubbo over and hands him the spatula once he was in range.
"Purpled is in the living room if you want to rope him into helping too." Tubbo offers offhandedly.
"Perfect. Thank you." He walks out of the kitchen and into the sitting room. He treads up to where Purpled say and drags him into the kitchen.
"Woah woah woah, what the fuck" Purpled stumbled behind him, having trouble getting his feet back under him.
" You're staying for the picnic, right? Then, you're helping." Caws and coos from the crows irked him. He points a finger at them, sweeping his hand across the room to it actually gets pointed at all the feathered toddlers.
" You. I'm not happy with you." Tommy looks back over to Purpled. " I need you to make sure Tubbo doesn't burn the house down. Start the tres leches cake too, please. The recipe is on the fridge." He picks up Micheal and Shroud to move them into the living room, prompting the crows into following them.
With all of the children out of the kitchen, he starts on the chorus fruit tarts for Ranboo. Hopefully they'll have everything done by the time he gets home.

Maybe the skies were not always the same as they are today. The stars have changed, suns blown up and replaced with others. The people under them the same, dying and making way for a new generation. Monsuma had always underestimated the next generation of Canines. They always made them stronger, better, faster, but never upgraded their systems to be the same. Perhaps that was their downfall. Though it doesn't seem that the organization really ended the day the officials had been killed by the best of their best.
New people came to fill the void the others had left, and with it came the same mistakes. But this time, they would not fail to crush the organization once and for all. Save those that had been taken to train as soldiers from young ages and help them adapt to a new life, one they deserved. It had been years, but they would get their friends together and help the new generation to escape as they had before.
Blueprints and security tapes laid splayed out on the desk in front of them and they meticulously pulled up several pictures of friends from the old days. The top of the list was Icarus and Apollo, the only graduates of their classes. Apollo had graduated a year prior to Icarus. They looked the pictures over again and debated heavily if it was really a good idea to drag them back into this fight.
They tried so hard to get out.
An alert sounded from their phone, notifying them that it was time to go. They throw down the pen they were taking notes with and grabbed their things. Picking their phone up last, they slip it into their pocket and then saunter out the door.

"I'm going to commit a murder and then some." Tommy was not happy, that much Tubbo could see. Perhaps leaving him at the house alone for so long was not a good idea. The blonde hadn't been out to do his usually chaos in a while and it was obviously taking major effect on him.
"Okay, why don't you just go to the living room and preen yourself right quick. Maybe have your bird children help you." Tubbo suggested trying to get Tommy out of the kitchen until Clem gets back.
Tommy grumbled while he stalked off into the living room, throwing himself onto the couch and screaming into one of the pillows. The front door opened not long after, Clementine walked into the house with the fruit.
"In here! Tommy is going to preen for a bit since he got worked up. Do you know what he wanted those for? We need to hurry as Ranboo should be getting back soon." Clem walked into the kitchen. And nodded, starting on the fruit salad and other sides.
With the main dishes done, Tubbo walked into the hallway to grab the necessities for the picnic. Purpled exited the kitchen, walking to the chair by the couch and promptly throwing himself onto it.
" I have no idea how you do this." Purpled comments, sighing as he sunk further into the plush seat.
"I usually end up messing with the heros at some point to help me unwind. I haven't been able to really do that recently though." Though it was muffled, Purpled nodded his head in understanding. Everyone deals with stress differently of course.
Now finished, Tommy hopped up off of the couch as Tubbo entered the kitchen. He sets the needed materials on the counter before joining Purpled on the couch.
Tommy starts to pack away the picnic into the basket as Ranboo throws open the door at noon on the dot.
"I'm not late, am I?" He was heaving for air, hands on his knees as he does so.
